Frank acts as a framework for the fleshed out Skate 3 tutorial, teaching players how to nail tricks and polish their execution -- it probably helps that he's full of goofy, if occasionally awkward, humor to lighten up the mood as well. And hey, if we learned anything from the previous two Skate games, we're going to be spending a ton of time just figuring out how to ollie without faceplanting over and over (and over), so we could use the levity.

Come on, Spike, give the series a bit more credit. It died at THPS3; give the revert some love!

Okay okay. I'll give you to 3, but no more than that. I was sad to see it stray from it's true idea. Now look what it's become =(

Looks like it says "Mow Down Joe". A man with a lawnmower mowing down another person who was probably hidden in the grass. My guess would be a camper.

looks good. although im a little afraid that the skate series is traveling down the same path as THPS. where yearly sequels and minor "improvements" ended up dragging the series down, pre-Ride, into a redundant mess.

That looked cool. Too bad it's already the 3rd installment and everybody already know how to "skate" now.
Why couldn't they have done this for the first one. Now it would just be a waste of my time.

i am in agreement with nativesnake88 up there. the game needed this type of tutorial with the first installment or even the second. coming in with the third installment almost everybody picking up the game will have played it by now.
that being said, this video has actually made me excited for skate 3 because of the hardcore mode as well as the clean vs sketchy notifier. i want my tricks clean and usually realistic! thank you skate 3 aka skate sim!
