Complaining about it isn't going to do anything, just don't buy it. We have shit like this floating around cause there are enough assholes around that'll buy it.

Oh and: "Well, instead of putting effort into creating the next best video game"..THEY JUST DID! This thing was probably thrown together by some intern or something of that nature.

I disagree. As a company, Square-Enix is attempting to make a little extra money from the release of one of their major products through merchandising. This is a proven method of making extra income on popular titles and one most companies will always try.

Complaining about this merchandise won't stop Squenix from making it. NOT BUYING this merchandise will stop Squenix from putting it out there. I highly doubt anyone over there cares that we think it's dumb. What's important is whether or not it sells.

Squenix is in a nose dive. They have locked the flightsitck and thrown all the parachutes out the door. They are determined to bury this company 10 feet into the ground.

This 100 times, I don`t care if you can download them for free or make your own from the ones that already are all over the internet, but some pictures for the price of a full game, is madness

Wow, that's kinda harsh.I agree that the app is useless and ridiculously over-priced, but many could say the same about the general purchases made by gamers. I'm a CAG through and through, but I'll be the first to admit that spending as much money as I do on video games each year would look crazy to most non-gamers.

You can already see that 3 people have rated it already. So that ends up meaning they made 26.97 already. Probably already making more than it took to make the app itself.

Yeah. That's the first thing I did when I read this - check to see if it has reviews yet.

My favorite part so far: "Being able to zoom in and out is stunning."

I swear to god, Squeenix must have given a bonus to their employees with the stipulation that they go buy the stupid app and give it a good review.

Well, you have to remember, this is for iPhone users. They're used to paying for small parts of other things they can get elsewhere. As the mac pyschos say "It just works!"

Wow, imagine that, PAYING people for the work they do. That sure sounds like some sort of CRAZY town to me, I tell yah! Can you please tell me where you work sir, so I can tell your bosses your willing to do it for free?

I was referring to how many of the apps for the iPhone are just broken apart pieces of free websites, but for money, and how people buy into that.

To those who think this is a stupid idea, you clearly don't understand the business of capitalism. It probably cost Square no more than 2 hours of labor to put this thing together. I bet if they even sell it to 3 people they would already be making a profit.

It's not a stupid idea, but it is a shifty idea. Unfortunately there are people who will buy it.

Oh, I'm willing to let companies do what ever they want to turn a profit, short of literally robbing us... but at some point, you stop thinking about what a business can do and what a business SHOULD do.
