I actually felt the same.
I hate that you don't have incremental movement like in previous games. It seemed like Sam has two speeds now... slow while crouched, or fast while standing. I feel less 'stalker-er-ee" than in the previous games. I loved that I could move slow-slow or slow-fast while crouched, and fast-slow and fast-fast while standing in the previous games. I dunno, just seems like a step back to me.
I also don't really like the lack of jump. I understand the dynamic thing and I guess I'll have to see if I like it when the full game hits.... but right new it seems almost like they... "broke" sam.
I dunno, to me the only redeeming quality of the game is the mark and execute and the dynamic cover. Everything just seems lacking.
But like others have said, I'm still gonna buy the game. I almost can't make myself NOT buy it.

That was dope!
One thing though, you forgot to mention how the bathroom scene is completely controllable and you can slam the guy's head on any toilet or sink, etc.

So I was on the fence about this game. I even had a preorder with 20$ down on it. But now....but now, thank you demo for showing me everything wrong with the game.
You can no longer pick up and move bodies. AI is as idiotic as it comes. You have unlimited pistol ammo. Sticky cameras, remember when they were able to shoot gas to knock people out? Yea, now they only explode in fiery death. Take that, put it all aside, and you still have enough weapons to make Master Chief blush.
Did I mention that I played through on "Realistic"(the highest difficulty), ran and gunned through the entire thing, and only died at the VERY beginning because I didn't read the controls? No? Well I just did. Idiotically easy. Blame it on the regenerating health that is included in this package.
Remember those night vision goggles you loved so much in previous entries? They are completely gone in favor of "Sonar Goggles". You put them on, and the entire world becomes static. But somehow, magically, the sonar penetrates walls, objects and everything, providing an easily read silhouette only on human targets. If that wasn't bad enough when you enter the shadows, the entire game becomes black and white. With only targets you can shoot (people, explosives, droppable objects) being lit. So gone is the hiding in shadows. Gone is the stark contrast between pitch black areas and those lit with bright vibrant colors.
Even Double Agent wasn't as bad as this.
So thank you Rainbow Six Vegas 2 producer. Thank you for ruining one of the best game franchises out there and turning it into just another shooter on the console market. Thank you.

I'm late to this thread but I was seriously so annoyed with the demo that I didn't even care to read any impressions of it on any gaming blog.
+1 to everything that you said. I'm beginning to see a real influx of "I'm new to this franchise but I love this game!!!!" posters. When the game in question is nothing like it used to be.
Have a look a the new Ghost Recon: Future Soldier as well. Every single game in existence seems to be going the way of extreme accessibility at the expense of realism or, in the case of Splinter Cell, the stealth that made the series great in the first place. It's just another run-and-gun.

Just to let you know, I heard him say Sarah 'Fisher' took Burns as her surname to defy her father, Sam. That's wrong, He insisted on her not taking his name because she was at risk if she had the same name. After the first novel she takes his surname despite Sam's objections.
