Final Fantasy and Tetris top PSP's sales charts for 2010 (so far)

The latest episode of PlayStation Network's Pulse revealed the top ten downloaded PSP games for 2010 so far. Perhaps it should come as no surprise that Square Enix's classic PSone RPGs have topped the list in the first quarter of the year. Only one mini makes it into the top 10: Tetris, whose steep $10 price tag apparently hasn't scared everyone away.

When I saw FF I was like (;_;).

You would think with FF8 selling so well, they'd finally add pocketstation support to PS3. It even has it's own icon when you plug it in the memorycard adapter, but since you can't assign the adapter to a slot, no game detects it.

Hmm...so, is that the reason those two dominate the PSN sales charts too?

I wonder what the sales numbers are for every iteration of Tetris thus far, since it was first released..

I was thinking Tetris might make it higher if it was playable on PS3.
Well I think it's not.

Yeah the Tetris mini is not available for PS3 yet.

Yep the minis typically work for the PS3 but the Tetris mini will not run on bigger system.

That's because EA is making a separate PSN Tetris game instead of making the Mini compatible with the PS3.

I've at least 2 on that list.

I've got four of em. I love my psp go (ive also owned every iteration of both japanese and us releases besides psp3000 )

No surprise there. Strange though, because Vice City Stories is so much better than Liberty City Stories

Completely off topic but you'll have to forgive me I've just played two hours of GoW3. And I can summarize all my feelings about this game in two words: Blearghautshuwhtingling OMG!1!!1one!one!!1!

I didnt even know FFVII was downloadable on Ps3.....I've just bumped that up my list of wants for 2010.

OH GOD. And Res Evil 2?!?! The best of all the old-school RE GAMES!! The 1 game they really SHOULD have remade properly on Gamcube! :(

There's quite a bit on PSN now.

I've re bought so many PS1 games since I can play them on my PSP. Lets see, all the Crash Bandicoots (excluding CTR damn you EU store!!!), all the RE's, FF7 and FF8, Jumping Flash 1, Syphon Filter, Suikoden, Tekken 2, Twisted Metal 2. Theres sooo many more I want to get to, like MGS.

My life will be complete when Xenogears is up and I can play my favorite RPG of all time anywhere.

I'm still annoyed that Crisis Core isn't available on PSN. Seriously Sony...what's taking so long?

I think it's more Square Enix than Sony stopping that from happening, if they were smart they'd have a few teams porting over all the GameBoy/DS FF remakes for download on the PSN, XBL and WiiWare. It would be a simple thing to do(relative to full FF titles on HD) and they would sell like hotcakes, I mean seriously FF7 came out last summer and nearly a year later it's still in Top5 of the Ps3 PSN sales and the top spot for Psp PSN, FF8 is right there with it, imagine if all the FF games were downloadable......but we can only hope

Tetris doesn't cost 10$ for quite a time.

But 7$ is still overpriced.

They see these sales and STILL don't make FF7/8 remakes? Or better yet, just make FF games as good as 7/8 instead of the crud we get now...

why invest millions into a product, when people are STILL gobbling it up?

while a re-make would sell, and it would be cool to play..

it'd also have to be done right.. not half assed, so it'd probably take time money and skill from a limited pool of resources that are busy working on other games.

7 wasn't that great. And 8...I'd prefer it if Squenix didn't make FF games like 8.

They should put Pepsiman on the PSN! Had a blast with the Japanese import I had during the PS1 era! Greatest interactive advertisement!

I was also a big fan of this game.

I went to high school with christina lee. She didn't put out.

I refuse to associate myself with the ass holes who will spend $10 on Tetris. How can we ever expect them to drop the prices on shit like this if you idiots buy it?
