Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is greeting Spring with open arms

Happy first day of Spring, everyone! Let's all take a moment to bid farewell to Winter, unless you live in certain parts of the Midwest, where Winter is apparently still all the rage. While there's nothing inherently wrong with Winter, we feel it lacks the inherent positivity of the current season. Also, Spring's associated with better stuff, such as Spring cleaning, Spring break. Spring rolls, and, of course, Coily the Spring Sprite.

Below are our seven favorite gaming related webcomics from this past week. Check them out, then vote for your favorite after the jump! If we missed out on any notable strips, drop a link in the comments section!

Voted for PA, because none of them were very good and I'm just so excited for PAX!

Yes thats exactly what I do. Except in this case I actually found PA to be pretty good.

Really, they chose the worst PA one this week. The other two were both great, and I thought for SURE Griffin would pick the one about the Pokéwalker.

I don't get the VGCats refrence.

Awkward Zombie made me laugh, considering it's a comic about a two and a half year old game.

He explains the reference in his blog post. I'm of the mind that a comic that nobody is going to get is not worth waiting the month that it takes for him to churn out these things.

I'm going with VS, only because it was the only one that made me laugh, and its so utterly true.

None of them were funny at all, but PA is the least bad.

I voted for Awkward Zombie. Classic. Monday night crew would have taken the vote otherwise.

Buy a damn Scrabble board for 10 bucks, morons.

Thing is, people already have the iPod Touches and the iPad for other things. Just because they can play Scrabble on it doesn't mean people are buying them JUST to play Scrabble. They're doing other stuff on them too.

They'll likely end up spending $25 for the software. Apple will make all 4 iPod touches plus the iPad buy a $5 Scrabble app. So even if they already have the equipment (buying a iPad makes one of them a jackass automatically), that's still a $15 premium to play digitally.

to be fair, that 15 dollar premium means that your damn dog will never eat the god damn letters anymore, and you wont have to buy the damn thing over because they aren't enough As

Just stop feeding your dog the letters, problem solved. I have two scrabble boards, two dogs, and ALL of the letters for both.

Or you could spend $1, $2 max at a thrift store for the same game.

In all fairness, playing electronically like that would help avoid the frequent game-ending fights about whether something is a word or not.

Was about to be one of those weeks where I say "meh they all suck because videogame webcomics suck" but then I saw MNC, and it warmed my heart. Bravo, fella.

Also, hey n-bomb happy a$$hole, I hate you for leaving those everywhere. But, I actually kind of love it for you at the same time.

Well that didn't come out quite right, sort of like MJ's apology for the sleeping with lil kids & the jesus juice stuff... I'm still curious about his wishing tree, but I think you get what I meant.

Seeing comments like this make all the hard work worth it.

$1700 for Scrabble is nothing, I drink from 15 million dollar glasses, I wipe my ass with hundred dollar bills, my golden PS3 with my super duper awesome kick ass face engraved cost me 100 million dollars, my plastic surgery cost billions of dollars, and I once bought that horse armor DLC.

Virtual Shackles summarizes the direction technology is headed these days. Using technology for the simplest tasks.

There are already electric toilet paper rollers and bidets. I wouldn't say we are too far from that anyways

Also, I just watched that Spring Sprite short a few weeks ago. Hillarious! Man, I love MST3K! :D

I went with AZ solely for the look on the guys face with a wiimote embedded in his chest. And I thought the TV's were bad collateral damage.

Better than the last couple weeks' comics at least.

Cool we made the poll. Of course, my artist screwed up the title of the comic when he sent it to my web guy. It should read, "Hindsight is 20XR20". Ah well.

Also, I was hoping our God of War III gag would make it instead of the PD one, but hey, beggers can't be choosers. I'm just happy to be on the list. Here's the GoW3 strip for those interested:

Damn it! Why wasn't that one an option; I practically died laughing!!

If it makes you feel better, I wouldve voted for that one over all the others.

I got the Perfect Dark joke but since I never played the game, I didn't find it to be that funny.. But I like this Kratos comic, I probably would have voted for it :P

I was surprised to see the PD comic up there instead of GoW3.
