Left 4 Dead 2 is half-off on Steam through Thursday

Valve's at it again with another midweek sale, this time carefully trimming 50 percent off the price of its latest, Left 4 Dead 2. This brings the game down to the very decent price of $25, until Thursday, March 25 at 4pm PDT -- leaving you ample dollars and cents to stock up on additional ammo for the real zombie apocalypse that will no doubt one day happen. Seriously, it's gonna happen.

But, we digress. If digital distribution isn't your thing, L4D2 is also on sale on Amazon today, allowing you to get a physical copy of the game on either the Xbox 360 or PC for the same price. For once, beggars can be choosers!

Blast, I bought L4D2 while vacationing in India for only $15 but due to Steam's region restrictions, it won't work here. I can't even get on this deal since the game is in my games list. I contacted Steam to get them to remove it so I can buy this. Hope they can do it. : (

It would be dumb if they didn't do it. Why would they say no to taking more of your money?

tell them about your case man... Valve customer support are nice, they might unlock it for you for free.

Yeah, during the Steam Holiday Sale in late December, they put a hold on my debit card because I bought so many things on the sale at one time. : P

I asked them nicely to remove the hold so I could further drain my wallet and they obliged. I hope they'll do the same here, don't you want my $25 Valve?

You can activate it on steam when you insert the dvd, to be honest since im a frugal shopper i'd take the $1 discount

But there was 4$ worth of shipping :O

I just canceled. I can't wait to play L4D2. Plus it's cheaper overall. Don't worry, I'm still waiting to get Heavy Rain from Amazon for 35$ :D

Great deal, I might buy it now even though my gaming rig is out of commission so I can enjoy it later.

Downloaded this few hours ago after hearing about this. First time Ive ever used Steam, and first PC game ive bought since Half life 2. Loving it! And it even runs smooth on my 4 year old rig.

Technically, you have already used Steam. Half-Life 2 requires it.

Got the 4-pack and split it with my friends, $20 each after currency conversion. Superb deal I'd say :)

This is great, but I figured Valve would drop the price of the original L4D to match. Still sitting at $29.99 right now on Steam.

Funny thing is Steam also has Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $9.99 but the 1st game for $19.99.

Maybe if you wait, you'll get lucky to score it at around $7-8 like I did. : )

GRAW 1 is 29.99 on Games on Demand, while GRAW 2 is 19.99. It's madness!
