Not to be beaten by Kick-Ass: The Game, Sony Computer Entertainment will be the first publisher to expand PS3's built-in Facebook functionality with a new patch to Buzz! Quiz World (available today). The patch will allow players to publish various updates from within the game, such as high scores and end game results.
As with Facebook connectivity with the PlayStation Store, all updates will be optional, giving players the choice of whether to publish these items to their walls. Don't go too crazy with that big red button on the Buzz! controller.

Hahaha, right. First thing I thought when noticing the title of the post was all the gd Farmville and other facebook game posts/notifications that line my ma's page from top to bottom. Problem is they wouldn't understand or get annoyed by the 'backlash', instead you'd probably get something like 'My, honey, it's nice to see you won that race in Blur and had the best lap speed.'
That said, I hate this trend that games are starting to appear that want to tweet what you're doing, or post it to facebook. I already see too many mind-numbingly stupid status updates as it is. Many botha-er brain cells died... Digesting that information...

Why would anyone want to follow what their parents are up to on Facebook to begin with, anyway? I for one don't even want to go there; seeing them flirt and act all.... er... Just eeeeew.

I just don't understand people having parents "friended" on Facebook.

Well to be honest it is my father and mother in law that have recently befriended me on FaceBook. What am I going to do? Deny their request? I have noticed that tons of old people are getting on FB. Why is that so hard to understand unless you are twelve?

Hah, I recall Microsoft making such a huuuuge deal about integrating facebook into the NXE dashboard.
Sony just did it, now there's this. :D
Ah well, be as it may, I don't use facebook on either of my consoles.

Oh joy, more useless information to be shown to people who don't really give a toss anyway.
Seriously, what is the point of this? Do you really think the world, or even your (fake) friends, care one bit that you had a new high score?

this is actually pretty damn cool. I love the Buzz games, they are very underrated and maybe this will get some exposure for them. Good job Sony.

Wait a minute, this is not a "cool feature" for the consumers... it's free advertisement for Sony across all your friends. I see what you did there Sony.

I have my trophy acquisition posted to Facebook, and sometimes I wonder just how many of my friends have taken the liberty of blocking the posts. All my close friends and gamer friends haven't, since they usually comment about how hard that "Rainbow Team" trophy in Pixeljunk Monsters is going to be, or some such comment, but all the others... I wonder...

That's why I don't integrate my Facebook account with either of my consoles, they just don't give it too much thought...
One of my friend is an aerospace engineer working for the army defenses, and to be frank, what I achieve on my gaming terms is of little regard or consequence to what he and his team are doing for the better of the country's defenses.
Also, not many of my friends are gamers... so that's the other reason for me, I guess. Besides, it's just not my thang to use the virtual keyboard to type, and I'm just not too keen to grab or connect a keyboard just so I can type, when I could do it on the PC more naturally.

Sony would be smart to support Facebook's new Custom Privacy feature with their app, if possible, so that these posts would only be visible to a select few (without pissing others off, and blocking the app for everyone).
They'd also do well to get their framework out to more developers to avoid the dreaded "??? (???) ???" trophy detail.
But then Sony and the web have never been great friends.

@G
The whole question mark thing is to block someone from reading spoilers.
I mean who wants to see "Found out that Dumbledore was The Origami Killer", instead it is marked as question marks.

I don't use facebook as it is more than once a week. Now why would I want log into my facebok account many times a week and then only to spam my friends with the same kind of thing they are already doing to me?
"So-and-so lost a moosezebracow from their farm...please help them find it". Hell no.
