WHen do you get the gift card? Right away or when you pick up the game ?

Could I potentially preorder the game for $5 and not pick it up make $15 profit ? Or Can I use the $20 on the game itself?

Looks like you pay the full amount, then you are emailed the eGiftCard immediately.

Can you pre-order both and get two cards? That's a free older game, or DS / PSP game right there. And what gamer isn't planning on getting both of these anyways?

Then again, there will probably be a nice special edition version for Halo: Reach, so I think I'm going to hold off that pre-order. Will take advantage of the Super Mario Galaxy 2 deal though.

Wasn't planning on preordering SMG2, but if you pay me to buy the game I will.

I ordered Reach and already have the gift card. They say my credit card won't be charged until the item ships. I have no idea what happens if you decide to cancel the order.

I never bought games online before. I typically just buy in store and play that day.

This is a worry:

Super Mario Galaxy 2 w/ Bonus $20 Walmart.com eGift Card (Wii)

These items usually take 0 to 2 business days to process before shipping. They might arrive in different boxes and on different days at no additional charge. They can be shipped by a variety of carriers.
Shipping Method Estimated Arrival Date

Free Shipping to your store.
(plus processing time)
Tue, Jun 08 – Fri, Jun 11
Standard Shipping
(plus processing time)
Wed, Jun 02 – Fri, Jun 04
2- to 3-Day Shipping
(plus processing time)
Tue, Jun 01 – Wed, Jun 02
1-Day Shipping
(plus processing time)
Fri, May 28
See Shipping Costs and Times for complete details about shipping orders on Walmart.com.

It takes at least 5 days after the game comes out to get it. EVEN if I order and pick it up in store ? why do i have to wait almost 3 weeks to pick up in store, if they will have it already.

Fun WiiFanboy memories: bought SMG2 using the $10 gift card I got way back in '08 when they were selling Brawl for 20 bucks (http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/01/11/bargain-brawl-preorder-for-19-82/) and then canceled everybody's orders.

...I hope to put this new ecard to use toward something that will net me a $30 profit, and so on until I own Walmart.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 wasn't even on my "to buy" list in the immediate future, but if I can get it for essentially $30(who the hell ISN'T going to need to spend more than $20 at a Wal-Mart in the future?), then sure. Just have to remember to keep the card until I would normally use it instead of spending it like it was free money.

You can buy one game, complete the sale. Then use the coupon to buy the other game. It works - I did it for Mario Galaxy 2 and Singlularity (which has a $10 card linked to its pre-order). So you can buy several games, one at a time, using the online gift card from the previous game. Sweet deal - buy them up before they change it to prevent you from doing it this way.

I'm not even sure where the nearest Walmart is to me...Probably in MD or VA, which is a pass for me.
