I said it before and I'll say it again. I hope they include that tech demo with Kevin Butler in with the final product (the one where you can resize/reposition the windows/pics/video/browser).
I want to be able to play every game with a Kevin Butler picture staring at me (or even a full commercial if I'm feeling frisky).

Okay, a free Jack Tretton picture (frame not included), and a free download of the multitouch tech demo (with Kevin Butler pics/videos included).

oh no, you're not. I cringe everytime I watch an episode. I mean no offense to Josh or the other guys but some people are just not meant for on-camera.

72" LED 1080p 240hz HDTV $8,500
360 Elite $300
4 Years of Xbox Live: $200
Avatar Master Chief Helmet $4
Spending $9,004 just to play 1v100 as a naked Master Chief... priceless.
That was fun.

Not that you'd need a 52" LCD, but you can get a 720p one for under $800.
But if you're going to go big then why not go all out?
"Sharp AQUOS 65" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV
Original Price: $3,999.99
You Save: $852.00

Cueball, no one has to buy either the HDTV or the Move, even the PS3 so what are you complaining about? The Move, like the PS Eye and the Keyboard as well as other accessories is just that, an accessory.

You punks don't know how good you got it. Back in MY day we had to verify each comment we made by e-mail. And all our replies started with @So-and-so.
We couldn't downvote anyone either! No, siree. MY generation was man enough to stare down trolls right in the eyes.
And that's the way we liked it.

You are extremely difficult to please.
And no one should care. Because companies want to make profit, and most customers will shell out for fun products, even if they aren't impressing the few who never seem to like anything.
I'm not asking for an outright revolution that flips the gaming world upside down, I'm asking for a fun product with good games (I don't know if the Move meets that standard yet, but the PS3 has been great so far in that regard).
I guess I also am not asking that this board be perfect, functionally. It's easy enough to use and has all the features I want, not that I mind if they improve it. I bet, if Sony and Joystiq fix everything you want, that you're still not having a good time.

Those guys claim that most of that lag was due to the TVs processing. They said the lag of the device is 22ms. 22ms is better than most of my deathmatch connections. I bet this device will play the best on an old fashioned CRT.

right. only a small problem.
but 22 ms with the devise and another 22 ms with the connection starts to look like more of a problem.
like, twice the problem.
also... deathmatch lag is really annoying. i'm tried of apparently cleanly knifing someone then being warped back into death.

In order to get that kind of lag in death match you probably have lag in the 1000-2000 range. It's possible you get spikes.

Also a calibration tool like rock band wouldn't work.
It's easy to calibrate when all your doing is looking for a basic responce, i.e. a button press. You just move the acceptable range of input around to adjust for the lag and play the audio cues at the appropriate time, however when you get to the free play sections in rock band you'll still notice lag.
This is exactly why you can't calibrate the lag away with Arc, the computer isnt waiting for a precise movement in a precise time and gicing you the benefit of the doubt until you make that move. Were talking about an infinite number of possibilities here with interaction more than just 'turn the track on/off' depending on if the user hit the button.
There will be no calibrating away the lag of the TV, you will just have to use your TVs settings to create the least amount of lag possible, hence why I said it would rock on traditional CRTs that have no processing time or lag.

That's because they are NERDS!
Or is it because they are GEEKS!
Actually I think it is because they are geeks....that is what Techies like to be called.
Geeks don't have a lot of charisma and aren't very smooth....and after about 10 minutes of talking to them you want to slug them or leave.....or preferrably both.

The coolest part of the tech demo was when he held the two motion controllers and was able to twist the video feed on screen.
Picture this:
You are playing a role playing game, one motion controller is held up in attack postion like a sword and slightly behind you, the other is held out in front of you to represent your shield. You are lost and need to check your map. You don't hit the 'B' button, you bring the two controllers together and pull them apart like you are unrolling a map. A map is unrolled on the screen and you manipulate it with the controllers to view it in your game. That is freaking sweet!
They can do the same thing with Project Natal with hand motions.
There are bunch of things possible with these new motion input devices and the HD consoles....so much more than with the Wii.
Thank you Nintendo for opening up the doors of innovation once again. You saved the home console with the NES and you are have harolded a new generation of immersive motion control input!

Because playing a map mini game is better than pressing a button and getting the map fast so I can get back to the game?
Unless you have a really bad memory I don't see the benefit in that particular scenario. I want to play the game, the map is just there to help me figure out where I'm going, the less time spent looking at it the better.

I appreciate that we're getting a "behind-the-scenes" kind of look at Move. It really shows that the people behind it want to make a good product. So far, I haven't seen that level of connection with the consumer from Microsoft and 'Natal', but who knows when they're going to reveal anything.

Agreed 100%
Xbox 360 and Zune are good products because they took what worked well with the PS2 and iPod and took it to the next level. Not because MS is very good at connecting to customers. MS is willing to pour a lot of losses so they can get into a product market, but they seem to really lose stamina.
Natal is just a smarter eyetoy. I hope it works out well, so there are lots of high budget multi platform games, but it doesn't seem inspired. I don't hate MS or anything... they are jerks sometimes but they make a lot of good stuff. I just think their company has a massive philosophy problem.

I upvoted you. I understand where you were going with that.......you just forgot the "priceless" at the end.
However I disagree with your appraisal of the tech.
I think there are lot of possibilities with motion control on the HD consoles. Look for my comment below, but also, and mainly, watch the video. The multiple video feeds portion is HUGE. With the power of the PS3 (or xbox360) and the new motion control devices (and Project Natal), the options for developers are huge! A lot of cool immersive things can be done on both of these consoles.
Again, thanks Nintendo for introducting the new tech and showing it can work! You da man!

Nintendo did not introduce the tech... they did popularize it however.

Yes it showed Sony brass that Dr. Richard Marks was DEAD ON about how motion gaming will be another way to interact with a computer entertainment system.
And Dr. Marks gave kudos to Nintendo for doing it, as do I.
Now that we have the precision of the Move, I cannot wait to see what an AAA developer can do with it.
Love the Minority Report like interface.

PCs had the same tech 10 years ago before the Wii. No one liked it cause it sucked. It's only because of Nintendos name and marketing and that people seem to have gotten softer in the head that it succeeded the 2nd time it was introduced.
