The only Wario game I've enjoyed was the first one, for Gameboy.

Loved that game!

I certainly enjoyed the 3 WarioWare games I've played (GB, GBA, and Wii).

This one sounds downright amazing! I suspect we'll see some seriously awesome user created games. This could be the DS's Little Big Planet.

they're wildly entertaining for the first 3-5 times. after that not at all. The DS versions have been far superior as well.

that is MY opinion

Thanks. I like hearing more user opinion than just reviews. Might pick one up for DS and give it a whirl.

I personally hate the games. They rely more on obfuscation, the whole point of them is that you dont know what to do.

"WarioWare D.I.Y. does for making games what the original WarioWare did for playing them."

You mean ruin it with obfuscation and horrible controls?

No love for the Gamecube one? That had me and my family laughing out loud.

@Extinction
"the whole point of them is that you dont know what to do"

... actually the point was to make you laugh using humor, while making the game challenging (and extra humorous) by suddenly bringing up random microgames with obvious goals and controls.
Everyone KNOWS what they have to do when the game comes up, but it just came up so suddenly people fumble trying to do so. Often making people have no idea what they were supposed to do no matter how obvious it was (chopping wood: chop the wood, but for some reason the players are pressing the wrong ones).

Maybe you just started the game in multiplayer - the "story mode" teaches you easily what to do (holds your hand).

So I dunno about you, but when I see a nose, and I see a finger... I know I'm supposed to pick the nose, most probably by pushing "up".

BEST REVIEW EVER!

But seriously 2 hours to create a 3 second game JC? Seems excessive!

common! He must have spent at least 1:30 on creating a concept for that game!

I'd imagine that making the game is as fun an experience as playing them, albeit a different kind of experience, especially for this series

So, it's a mini game creator? I actually love the Wario Ware games . . . any game featuring Wario for that matter, so I will be all over this one. I love creating things and this seems easy enough yet complex enough to make something really fun.

Micro games, e.g. jump over the rope, once.

So, how many phallic shaped objects and masturbatory actions can we fit into one game?

when I get this game, i'm going to make a game that lets me go back in time and play it right now instead of typing this post.

sadly, it'd be over in literally seconds

I want to make a game similar in concept to the root beer example, yet much dirtier. Can I do that?

It's a great game, but there are some things unfortunately lacking. They completely skipped out on some of the better songs from previous WarioWare games, such as Ashley's Theme, Mike's Theme, and Mona Pizza. There's also no longer games with high scores, like Paper Plane and Pyoro. Additionally, it's disappointing that touch-screen interaction is limited to taps, even in the premade and boss games. There's no dragging, sliding, or slicing to be found.

Thankfully, they've also eliminated microphone minigames, presumably for the sake of Wii compatibility, making long subway rides with this game slightly less embarrassing.

Overall, this game compliments the WarioWare series nicely, but players new to the series would be better off getting another installment first.
