Splinter Cell: Conviction goes gold, new trailer sneaks into view

It's offical: Splinter Cell: Conviction is complete. Accompanying Ubisoft's long-awaited announcement is the above video, which adds to the Badass: The Game hype train and gives us another look at the aesthetics and design of Sam Fisher's return.

We'll be able to gauge how successful the game's projected, environmentally depicted mission objectives and flashbacks are when the game releases on April 13. (Remember: the PC version comes out two weeks after that).

Pre Ordered when I saw the Amazon deal for $47 with coupon code SPLINTER. Everyone should have or should now hop on that deal if its still available.

You all must be too young to remember the splendor that was Chaos Theory.

It wasn't about the game, sure it's fun, but in the end it was all about the replay-ability of Spys vs Mercenaries.

They've confirmed they made it a 1v1 spy vs spy mode now instead, which is heart breaking for those of us who so enjoyed the old way.

And somehow I'm still going to miss Splinter Cell: Hobo's Creed. Running around, hiding everywhere seemed fun.

That said, the demo was incredible. This game is going to be on my to watch list for sure.

I felt like such a badass when I got into the building, stealth melee killed one guy, dropped from a pipe onto another, marked 3 guys, went under the floors and popped up to melee another guy, executed the 3 guys, rolled into cover while another guy came out to check the commotion, and popped him in the head. This was all quick, seamless, and totally awesome.

I NEED THIS GAME.

I swear I am going to go into debt buying games this year.

I'm with you, not to mention the backlog of games I still need to play. I guess it's better then not having anything to play.

The demo was pretty poorly put together- the long, unskippable cut scene after the interrogation made me only play it a few times, as opposed to me having the Just Cause 2 demo running 24/7.

Nevertheless, rocking the execution system is pretty damn awesome. I think I'll pick this un up.

It's only a 512 mb usb stick if you were wondering. it took them 20 days to reply to me but I found out.

For some strange reason, I expected the game to be delayed another 3 months...wonder why? :p

Anyways, can't wait..badass the game will be awesome.

That projection thing is so great, and that interrogation stuff too.
feels like really in a game. This game will be amazing from the whole

April was never taking that much time to come, in previous years :)

Meh. I was ecstatic for this game back last E3, hell, even back in the day of Hobo's Creed I thought it looked good. I'm just going to wait on this one.
