Anaheim will once again become a second home to the citizens of Azeroth when BlizzCon 2010 takes place from October 22 to 23. As in previous years, this is the show where Blizzard brings out its big guns and usually delivers at least one major announcement. Although it's not expressly stated, it's very likely StarCraft II, Diablo III and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will be at the event -- hopefully, with some release dates in tow.
Detailed sales information isn't live yet, but anyone interested in attending better start queuing up the nanosecond those golden tickets go out.

From a WoW fan's perspective last year's Blizzcon was pretty darn good, with the announcement of Cataclysm and all. Unless they're announcing something new, which who knows they just might, this year won't have any real surprises.

Also, I find it slightly annoying that Blizzard has effectively removed themselves from E3 due to Blizzcon. They were completely absent from last years.
Its an easy choice for me on which to go to if I had to make a decision between them. An all encompassing industry conference or a single publisher/developer's show that's about 1/2 mmo related. hmm...

Make Love, Not Warcraft.

1.13 patch for Diablo 2 was released tuesday maybe that will cheer you up? Because we both know Diablo 3 isn't coming until 2011.

What to expect at Blizzcon 2010:
SC: Assuming SC2 hits its projected summer 2010 release date, we may see some features pertaining to the first of the two expansions. If it's not out by then, should be a release date set.
Diablo: We'll probably see the final class planned for release debut, maybe hints on a beta date. Expecting to see some info on D3's Battle.net 2.0 integration.
WoW: More on Cataclysm and possible release date. Maybe some more info on pre-Cataclysm events for Wrath of the Lich King.
Other: Unannounced MMO mentioned, possibly shown off. It's not secret that Blizzard has been in production of its WoW follow-up. It wouldn't be Blizzcon without a big announcement planned, and with SC2, D3, and Cata all previously shown, who knows what surprises we may see.
