Pixel art poster celebrates arcade games, helps kids

Artist Army of trolls (Gary Lucken) has created a beautiful poster featuring embellished pixel art versions of classic arcade cabinets, including some unlikely choices like Bomb Jack and Giga Wing, available for purchase through the Poster Cause website. Not only is the $25 poster arguably an act of charity toward your wall, purchasing it also contributes to a for-real charity!

All of the profits from sales of the poster will be given to SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity that helps make computer games more accessible to kids with disabilities. As if you really needed another reason to want to buy one of these.

Wow, I could tell what the games were by just looking at the arcade screen! Kudos to the artist's skills, and a great cause too.

In my travels I have never seen Gigawing or Bombjack in an actual arcade. I lived on the east coast in those days (Florida) maybe they never made it there. Did anyone see these games elsewhere?

Its also possible they didn't interest me an I just ignored them though I'm pretty sure I gave every new game a chance.

Oh man, Gigawing? That game single-handedly convinced me to buy my own arcade machine. Best purchase I've ever made, hands down. I'm definitely gonna have to get this, just wish it was bigger.
