Just got the email myself. Now we can stream upstairs, which is nice. My girlfriend doesn't care if it's in HD or not anyway, but if given the choice, I'd rather watch it on the Xbox (and the big TV.)

Oh, and I've got a PSA of my own: everybody add the show "Party Down" to their queue. You won't be disappointed.

Can you stream to two different devices with only one Netflix account (not simultaneously, of course)? I have a Wii in one room and a 360 in another and this would be great.

Yes you can and yes it can be at the exact same time. Hell, I've been on my laptop at school (I live on campus) streaming Netflix from the site while my family does the same on their computer at home.

There's no limit to how much you're watching or where.

Except bandwith, I guess. My internet is shit so I don't know whether it'll support 2 set tops simultaneously anyway. :(

"There's no limit to how much you're watching or where."

Not sure about that. Maybe it has changed, but there used to be a 4 or 5 device limit that was reset yearly. They may be more flexible now, but I doubt there's literally no limit.

Here you go... this is from Netflix's Help Center:

"Some membership plans allow you to watch simultaneously on more than one personal computer or Netflix ready device at the same time. If you are on the 1 disc out at-a-time plan, you may watch only one device at a time. If you are on the 2 discs out at-a-time plan, you may watch on up to two devices at the same time. Members on the 3 disc plan can watch on up to three devices. The maximum is four devices simultaneously, and that is available for members on the 4 or greater discs out at-a-time plans.

Please keep in mind that your account can have up to six unique authorized devices activated (associated with the account) at any given time, including personal computers and Netflix ready devices. This is due to requirements from content providers. "

You can view and manage your currently activated devices in your account settings on the Netflix website.

Dude, Canada is a third-world country when it comes to neat stuff like this. We even got boned on the Kindle...only got it a couple months ago, and its crippled all to hell. And its not like I'm far from the border or anything....I could go in a couple directions and get to the states in about an hour.

This is great news for non-Wii Netflix users too. More Netflix subscribers = more money for Netflix = more money for them to spend on instant streaming licenses for movies.

Yay, now my 360 can go back in its box to await when I finally make the trip to the pawn shop. I only unboxed it again to stream Netflix since I was able to grab a free month of Gold membership.

And no I am not parodying the "dust off my Wii" comments I really have a 360 I have no intention of using anymore and a Wii which I very much enjoy. And I'm what one would call a core gamer though probably not "hardcore."

Not in love with having to use a disc for Netflix, but I find myself using the PS3 Netflix disc with surprising frequency. This'll definitely be good for Wii owners. Enjoy!

Might be worth it for me, since i could get on it with my parents' account and then finally have movies here at school, but given the rate at which i watch movies (especially movies i haven't seen before), it probably wouldn't be worth the effort.

Why don't you people just stream TV via websites? Granted it's not easy to find sites that work with the Wii, but I did find one that's got South Park and another that's got Star Trek, that's a start at least.

It's a lot more comfortable to watch TV on a TV. And even if you have a PC connected to a TV, a Netflix interface via wireless controller is less cumbersome than mouse and keyboard.

Got my email this morning. This is great for everyone else in the house. The Wii is the "family" console and is set up in the living room. They could always stream to the laptop, but watching stuff on the TV is far more desirable. Now my niece will stop pestering me to watch stuff on my 360. Heh.

So, today was my day off, so I was able to get this all set up. Just randomly trying a bunch of different titles, these seems to be no issues with streaming at all. I was a bit suspicious that I would run into buffering issues, but nothing so far. The box art is pretty tiny, though, with no way to zoom into it. That's a pretty small gripe for me, though. I can't even really say that it's just not the TV that the Wii is hooked up to.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. Especially seeing as it's free on top of a service (Netflix) that I'm already using. I'd certainly have an XBL Gold sub Netflix or not, but there's no reason to not use this if you already subscribe to Netflix and don't have any other Netflix ready devices...

Well I got it yesterday. The picture looks great, sounds great. I get my queued items and some additional selections. IT works better than my on demand. The box arts size is fine on my TV. Everything is pretty easy to use. Not sure why you have to have a disc to use it but its a minor inconvenience. Overall a big plus for someone who already has netflix.

Got my disc, and it's working fine. One problem: I can't find a search feature to save my life. Am I just missing something, or did they really exclude the basic ability to search for a movie?

You have to manage your queue from the computer, same as on the 360 and probably the same as PS3 (haven't tried PS3 yet). You can change channels by pressing up and down to browse around, but not search for specific things.
