I'll be picking it up when I finish 2. I just started 2. I love this series though.

Skate revolutionized skateboarding games. But 2 was Skate 1.1 to me.

Make the PS3 version not suck, and don't make us pay $7.50 extra for all the camera angles.

I really enjoyed the first skate which u still own - something totally new and much more realistic after stale impossible Tony hawk. And I really enjoyed playing around with the video editor. It was a shame the ps3 version wasn't quite up to snuff and the online experience was awful.
I hated the second though (gameflyd it). The tone seemed to be copying Tony hawk with the whole gritty fighting the antiskate agenda. And while in theory making your own lines sounds cool, moving crap around was pretty irritating. Liked getting off the board to get your line set up, and liked the lip tricks though.
The 3rd one looks like it has a lot of potential though - making and sharing skate parks sounds like a great way to extend the game. I'll definitely check out the demo!

i actually loved moving stuff around compared to number 1. it makes you get creative and creates some good laughs. it also gave a sense of realism compared to the old (and now new again) placing objects in an editor e.g tony hawk style. i would actually like a combination of both for a perfect game. i also liked the physics aspect of how they behaved.
it will be interesting to see how shaun white plays. given skate has the genre controls perfected, i can't imagine another game doing anything but copying ea's control style.
