Hardcore mode seems dope. I hope I will be able to do manuals between two grindable surfaces (i.e. a hubba). The last two Skate games automatically forced you to grind a surface if you were very close ( though it didn't seem too unrealistic, which is a feature of the series).

Can't wait!

Hardcore mode will be amazing. In the previous skate games some of the gaps required extremely precise timing (see Library stairs) and doing gaps like that perfectly on hardcore mode will be very satisfying. I hope this will add that extra level of realism to my skate videos.

I hope when you publish a skate video it says what mode they were using because a sick video on hardcore mode will be all the more impressive.

Sooo glad it won't be more accessible to newbies.

No, he clearly stated that the addition of new modes doesn't make the controls any easier to learn. Really I'm just tired of watching newbies play in ranked matches and having to deal with them as I'm trying to get online challenges done.

Make the PS3 version not suck, and don't charge us $7.50 extra for all the camera angles, and I will probably buy it.

Maybe I'll complain about the same thing on every Skate article, about a problem nobody else has. Then maybe I'll get downvoted.

So I'm the only one who had frame rate problems with Skate 1 and 2? You're right... that must be why Black Box claimed they would make Skate 2 not suck on PS3, and why they patched a 30fps limiter into it after release when it did end up sucking. And I must have been the only one who had to pay $7.50 for the filmer pack. Yeah, it all makes sense now. Downvote away, idiot.

Well, Hardcore mode sounds very cool. Hopefully it doesn't feel "off" like Skate 2 did; looking forward to the April 15th demo.

I doubt it will be sk4te. it isn't skat3. Also the only abbreviation skaters ever use is sk8. We got awhile til that though.

Hopefully this is the last game of the Skate series. I loved Skate 1 the flickit controls and the whole feel of the game was great. But 2-3 years later they don't even seem to care about improving the physics?

I didn't get into Skate 2 because I couldn't pull off the exact trick they wanted over the fountain near the beginning of the game... so I quit. I'm more excited about the way you can progress through the game without getting perfect tricks on each mission...

Oh my god. Tail slide to nose slide AND keeping enough speed to get across the entire fountain... That was the most frustrating thing I've tried to do in a game in a looooong while...
