Seen@PAX: The Uncharted 2 chapter title that should have been

Naughty Dog's panel at PAX East 2010 offered attendees a fairly in-depth look at how the studio created each level in Uncharted and Uncharted 2. One important aspect of the series' level design is, of course, coming up with a clever name for each chapter -- a task assigned to lead designer Richard Lemarchand.

Unfortunately, "the Man" occasionally prevents Lemarchand from putting certain chapter titles in the game, keeping Uncharted 2's original train segment title card (pictured above) out of the final version. Curse you, unseen managerial powers-that-be!

You fail at realizing that it is an "I'm on a boat" reference.

There's also a Snakes on a Train movie, but it stole the idea from SoaP.

That makes the TV version better than the Theatrical version.....

Four years later and Snakes on a Plane jokes are still funny. :)

That joke will never get old. It helps that the movie is ten kinds of awesome.

I was there in a crowded theater on opening weekend, and the crowd went NUTS when Samuel L. Jackson said the line- you know the one. The snake biting the guy's wang was the best part, though.

Don't know why they changed it, Drake's on a train just rolls off your tongue, like a train going off a cliff.

If they took Drake's on a train out I wonder what refrences they had for The Dig.... It would of been hilarious if they had "Follow the Hose" get it? :P

Even so long after Uncharted 2 came out, it still manages to impress me.

I KNOW MAN!!! It's been a LOOOOOOOOOONG 4 and a half months, but damn. Who would thought that after all this time it would still be so great.

So that means Uncharted 3 will have "Chapter 6: Drake's on a Boat!".

Can't seriously be a 30fps game.. :S

This game is 30 fps all over. Even in cinema, I checked how many were in a second and it came out to be 30. I guess it was due to some limitations, but Naughty Dog showed that a game can still look good on a PS3.

you know movies are 24FPS...
why do so many think they need 60 FPS???
