Come to think of it, Ico is basically one long escort mission. It's amazing that it can still be so good in spite of that.

It's funny but this reminds me of the Prototype/InFamous comparison. Where we had an mltipltfrm game and an exclusive. The txture and lighting do not compare to Last Guardian but we'll see what the end result will be when it releases. Why do multiplat releases seem so bland when it comes to graphics?

because they have to spread their budget over multiple platforms while an exclusive can drop a few extra bones on the art development.

this looks a lot like Folkssoul/folklore... a lot... that monster could actually be from it.

Game Republic are the same company that did folkssoul right?

No, GR is just producing this game. It's being developed by Hexadrive (Rez HD, 3rd Birthday).

Although I do see the multitude of similarities between this and Team ICO's latest, it seems odd to me that the similarities to Zelda are almost universally ignored. I'm assuming the LoZ series was just as much of an inspiration for this as Team ICO's two previous titles were, if not more so. Come to think of it, since both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus were at least in part inspired by LoZ themselves, then that means....

...that I think too much about pointless rubbish. :\

The architecture in the game is the only thing that jumps out at me as being Ico-inspired. The rest seems to be the standard action adventure game mold, with a heavy dose of escort mission.

Development likely started before Team Ico revealed TLG anyway.

Looks very promising to me so far, especially if it is made by the Folklore folks....pun intended haha. I thought Folklore was one hell of a game, creepy atmosphere too, and largely ignored. I recommend it to all my friends with a PS3.
