Oh the 90's... You kids don't understand the intense excitement going from system to system... The differences back then were different than they are now... Back then, you didn't know just how awesome the next one was gonna be. Now, you knew what it was gonna be like going from XBox to XBox 360. 8-bit to 16-bit was amazing. All of the great NES games were now twice as awesome. And the jump to 3D? Religious. I remember seeing the first clips of Mario 64 on TV. I think I had dreams about that game. Funny how I'm spending more money on NES games now than I ever was, and I get more excited about things like Mega Man 10 than I do the next Mario. It's like, I got excited about the next big thing to a certain point, and then I reverted backwards. Someday I will own all NES games...

I try to make statements about the past as objectively as possible, with as little influence from nostalgia as I can muster. That said, I believe that while there are far more good games coming out in the current day and age than in any previous generation, there are much fewer GREAT games. Know what I mean?

I got the DK64 Jet Force Gemini and the Pokemon videos.
I loved getting them in the mail because it meant that year my parents bought every game featured as Xmas presents.

Ahhhh, good times. I remember going to the arcade to play MK2 before it came to the SNES.
I also remember looking at MK and being absolutley BLOWN AWAY by the characters in game.
