Certainly I prefer Batman over Spider-Man but the Spider-Man: India looks really awesome not sure why but it comes to my mind Assassin Creed (Which is awesome too!) :)

Ya gotta give props to Batman. Unlike ALL of his peers, he has no super-human powers, yet he still kicks major ass.

I would point you at Iron Man for also being just a regular Joe using his know-how to create himself some bitchin' tech.

Spider-Man isn't whiney. Surely if you read any comics that didn't involve people dying (or wasn't made in the mid-90's) you would know that.

i dunno spiderman was one emo bitch for a large chunk of the movies. i remember him being different in the cartoons as a kid, but the movies are what most people have seen.

also, Captain America technically doesn't have super powers, and he doesn't even have fancy gadgets and high-tech stuff like Iron Man, and Batman to a lesser degree. He's basically a perfect human, running at the theoretical peak of human performance due to the Super Soldier Serum. despite not having super-human powers and having an indestructible shield as his only combat tool, he pretty much beat Iron Man in a fight in the Marvel Civil War comics.

I would have to say that Cap takes the cake. Though he does have a slight genetic enhancement, it is theoretically (in the comic book world at least) only pushed him to the limits of what the human body can achieve.

That being said, he does best quite a few people and his attitude is way better than Batman's. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Batman as much as the next person, but the range of gadgets that he can pull out at any time to solve the situation he is currently in is a bit ludicrous.

Game wise, Spider-man has quite the hill to climb to get close to Arkham Asylum which was absolutely awesome!

It's pretty much showing every alternate form of Spider-Man they can possibly ruin in a new video game.

Speaking of which where is Cosmic Spider-Man in this list?

cosmic spider-man wasnt really an alternate form, if you buy a pair of really fancy pants you'll still be you. That's pretty much all the captain universe deal was

True. He had a little more than new pants though. He had the powers of Captain Universe making him virtually indestructible, able to fly, shoot cosmic energy blasts, and possess unimaginable strength.

I'd much rather see something along those lines than Spider-Ham.

Actually it was a story line in the Spider-Man the animated series back in the 90s. It actually was the last story arc in the series

All things considered about how bad certain aspects of the new Turtles has been, Turtles Forever was not that bad. It was nice to see the mixing of all the different evolutions of the Turtles, and they did preserve the tone well.

Another reason why they should add Spider-ham, they could somehow buy off Fox and have Homer go "Spider-pig, spider-pig, does whatever a spider-pig can."

Maybe Ratfoot is stuck in 2006 with the Civil War "Iron Spider" costume.

Or worse, stuck in the 80s (or 2007!) with the black suit.

thanks for the history lesson captain obvious.

being aware of the different dimensions the game advertises...

im voting for:
Spider-man 2099
Manga Spider-Man (Legend of the Spider Clan version... not the japanese manga version.

Mac Gargan would just downright be fun to play is all im saying.

I think 2099 has got to be a lock. The other one, I'm not so sure of. Spiderman: India might be a little too similar to Prince of Persia. They won't do Spider-Ham. Zombies or 1602?

All this speculation is going to kill the actual reveal of the other worlds...

I can't imagine anyone being happy with what they reveal since Joystiq and others have come up with much better ideas than what will actually be included...

I'm excited to try out different worlds, such as the Noir one. It looks pretty unique. My only problem with this is that it doesn't exactly look like a Spiderman game, but that might end up what makes this stand out in the end. Who knows? This is one of those 'wait-and-see' kind of games for me.
