I don't get why Capcom forced everyone to use it's clunky community site to get the code when it can't handle the bandwidth. I still can't get the login screen...

It wasn't so much clunky as it was a pain in the ass to load, since it took forever just to take me to the front page of the lost planet community site.

Hell, in the time it took to finally get my key, I:
1) Read several blogs on several sites
2) checked my email account
3) Beat Mass Effect 1 (granted i only did story missions, but it was on hardcore on a 45 biotic)
4) Started ME 2 three times (first two times some crap happened)
5) Did calculus homework
6) Slept 8 hours

now, true some of those might be exaggerations, if not total lies (Hah! I never do homework!), but still...

I hope this starts a trend. It kills me a little more everytime I dump a buch of hours into a demo, or beta, only to have all of that progress lost when the title finally releases.

I wonder if Bungie will be able to let us keep our Reach Beta saved films this time.

Yeah. Games should have some kind of prize for the full version of a game after playing its demo.

It's a great way to get people to try(and maybe buy) their games.

I spent a lot of time in the bad company 2 demo, I didn't keep mt experience when the full game came out but I kept all of the dog tags I had gotten off of people in the demo.

Mostly on the beta side, but just the other night a friend and I had some beers and played the Just Cause 2 demo for about 2 and a half hours. I sank some pretty serious time into the Skate demo when that came out as well.

Is this going to be available straight from PSN/XBLA in the future? I don't feel like messing with Capcom's site. =/

Anyone try downloading it yet? I know the servers won't be up till tomorrow but can you download it today just so you don't have to wait tomorrow.

Exclusive weapons are stupid. They usually fall into one of three categories:

Overpowered - they unbalance the game and make you feel cheap and sleazy for using them.

Underpowered - gimpy so they don't unbalance the game, but now pointless as an incentive.

Neutral - the same as other weapons in the game and even sometimes just re-skinned versions of existing weapons, again negating any incentive for acquiring them.

Um, don't ALL weapons fall into one of those three categories? So ultimately, it's just another weapon, only some people can't have it. =P

I've been trying for well over an hour, just to create a profile on Capcom-unity, just so I can wait another 4 hours to get on the Lost Planet community page. Awesome April's Fools gag Capcom!

Do we HAVE TO get the demo the round-about way or are they going to release a more accessible demo in the future? (as in, you just got to xbox live and download it)
