After my conversation with people yesterday about the first Conduit, and seeing all this stuff on Conduit 2, I will pick both of these up sometime. They look pretty darn solid and fun.

I enjoyed the first one. But for some odd reason many people rated it as the worst over rated game which I dont understand how.

Conduit wasn't a BAD game, it just felt uninteresting and generic (at least to me) to the point that I didn't even get around completing half of the game :(

Honestly i'd avoid The Conduit 1 at this point. The real thrill of the original game was the multiplayer, despite it's flaws, the multiplayer was rather addictive, and compelled me to overlook all of the glitches to keep playing. That multiplayer has long since been left to the dogs that are the hackers, so there really isn't anything substantive left there

I'm part of a gaming culture where the first Killzone, a game equally as mediocre as The Conduit, is constantly called out on being so, but TCon isn't simply because it (at the time) was the only FPS worth a damn.

:/

"The game also adds "all-new" online and couch co-op modes, including Team Invasion Mode, a 4-player split-screen mode that can be played online or off."

My first thoughts when I saw this is - Its Golden Eye again they're on to a winner =]

1. Wii screens. We've been over this a dozen times before. Pass no judgment until video appears

2. It's an early build. Alpha, most likely.

C'mon, those character models are more detailed than anything I saw on PS2. The layered armor/clothing details are better than any og Xbox game I can remember too (certain better than DOOM 3, FarCry Instincts, Half-Life 2, and Halo 2 on Xbox). A bit jaggy, a tad blurry/muddy, but it doesn't look as bad as you're making it out to be.

Visually, the character models/enemy models/weapons are the game's only saving grace, save for a few interesting lighting effects here and there. Otherwise? Just about every location in the game aside from the Trust stronghold at the end was bland, muddy, and straight ugly.

When it comes to the first, there actually was very little wrong or bad about the game. I enjoyed it enough to play through twice. The online was no good for it, and level designs were a bit bland in some areas - though no game breaker.

The Conduit is a solid game. It may not break new ground, but as far as an FPS goes on Wii - I'm glad I have a copy in my game collection.

Sign me up for this.

If you consider being a shell of your former self 'still around' then I guess SEGA is still around. In the same sense that Atari is still around just because they kept that fancy name/logo and a few IPs that didn't get lost in the constant shuffling around.

Otherwise, in my most boorish of opinions, SEGA hasn't been around since Panzer Dragoon Orta and Billy Hatcher circa 2003.

I always forget Valkyria Chronicles, dammit, and I love the game too.

SEGA does rear its ugly head every once in a while and give us gold, shame the filler is always so bitter or just plain boring. I did warn it was a boorish opinion though, coming from a disgruntled former SEGA fanboy. I'll never learn, sorry SEGA :(

Ok, really? How often does anyone actually dust their consoles? Or if you do, then are you really that petty that you dust your 360 and deliberately let your Wii collect dust? My Wii collects dust too, despite being in use daily.

I mean seriously, troll the Wii all you want, but for heaven's sake get some new material!

how many times did you vote my comment down :), i only speak the truth, no good Wii games have come out this year. I own the wii,PS3,xbox,ds lite, psp go and etc. I was saying that not all games on the wii have crappy graphics, The Conduit did not even look good enough for my psp. Sorry i woke up the Nintendo Fanboys. i am sure you just bought a DS XL to go along with your DS, DS lite, DSi and Gamebody Micro. so i will go let you enjoy those.

No More Heroes 2 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom didn't do it for you? How about Cave Story? That's fine and all if they didn't (monster!), but it still debunks your theory of 'no good Wii games this year.'

I look at god objectively. So when someone says it's not a good game, it means the game is glitchy beyond playability, unresponsive, broken, unbalanced, and/or incomplete.

Which is usually not the case so I leave the 12-year old 4chan intellectual-wannabes to their petty flaming and ignorant egocentric blabber.

@Goldenswo140

Seriously, if you dislike the Wii's gaming library so much - just LEAVE the wii sections. It's that easy, you know?

A lot of people didn't care about the Gamecube library during the PS2/Xbox/GC years - did they go into Gamecube topics and bash on it day-in-and-day-out because it made them feel special? No. They ignored it and talked about the PS2/Xbox. And every now and again they would mention "Wow, there's this awesome game on the GC, wonder if I should get one."
That honestly should be the reaction all people give to every system out there!

I hardly use my 360 other than to replay my favorites, as the new games don't really "get to me" (I'm not that big into FPS games, they're fun but all I need are like... 4 of them all year long - and racing? I only need one every other year)... I seem to get more excited about the PS3 releases, but I seem to purchase and play the good Wii game choices faster due to their lower prices and local multiplayer fun.

If ya' don't like the games out for the Wii -don't care about it then.
"Dust collector" is one of the oldest "jokes" that have run on for wayyy too long. I'm sorry your Wii doesn't get played, mine does. I'm sorry you don't find any good Wii games, I do. I'm sorry you can't do anything BUT complain about video games instead of doing something else like going out and watching a movie or just chilling out somewhere. I understand this is a gaming blog, but just because YOU are unsatisfied, you shouldn't pretend like everyone else is on the same boat as you.

Even if you ain't 12 yrs old, you're just as immature as one.

Good that they've pledged for increased online security. I would still fire up the game once in a while if it hadn't devolved into hacking long ago.

A second chance is just what The Conduit needed. It was a good, mindless FPS experience (no strategy is how i like 'em, and i also like games that encourage my generally suicidal FPS tactics), and if they can just clean up the experience and diversify it, they'll have a winner

Local multiplayer could do wonders for the sales, too. Get word-of-mouth back into the equation.

I passed conduit 1 not bad. Wasn't the best FPS i've ever played and certainty not the worst. I really did enjoy the control scheme it was much more enjoyable than a controller with 2 sticks on it. The reason I didn't care too much for the game was the lack of 4 player multilayer id be fine with 4 player local this has 4 local and multi..thats cool. You cant even do that with left 4 dead 1 and 2...unless you have 2 360's
