If you're sick of being mired in a world that always makes way too much sense, we're sorry to report that Zeno Clash:Ultimate Edition, ACE Team's bizarre first-person shooter/brawler, has been held up from its debut on XBLA, originally slated for ... right now. Writing on the company's message board, co-founder Andres Bordeu said "Yes, it's been pushed back a tad. Sorry about that to everyone. It should come out early April."
So let Father-Mother dry those tears. It sounds like things are going to be getting plenty weird soon enough.
They will be added in later as a game update, but they won't be available at the same time the 360 version launches to give this version a reason to be purchased. Confirmed by the developers.
This game made a decent attempt at hand to hand combat mechanics, it was passable but not great. To me the games biggest problem lies in the fact that you fight the same characters over and over and over again. It all starts to feel like filler.
I don't mean the same character models, I mean the same characters. It really starts to get annoying after a while.
Thank god my wallet needs a break. This years shaping up to be a good year for gaming. I'm still surprised by the fact that there's 2-3 titles worth buying through every month of summer.
Plot summary! The game was visually stunning, but I was frustrated by the controls/combat, and never finished it as a result. Still, ACE Team tried some cool, creative stuff, and for that I give them props. Yay them!
I will continue to buy their games, of which I hope they make many more, and I have faith that they will continue to iron out the kinks on the way.
Boom, summary complete. Not as eloquent, but not bad for ~1 minute of frantic re-typing, eh?
If my first comment shows up now, Imma feel real stupid.
