Exclusive Pokewalker path available as Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver DLC

Done with everything in Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver? Of course you are -- it's been like two whole weeks. Luckily, Nintendo is supplying some new downloadable content, in the form of the Pokewalker route "Yellow Forest." To get it, you have to enable "Mystery Gift" and connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection between now and May 5 to download the route.

The Yellow Forest, as you might guess from the name, is loaded with Pikachus. In fact, if you get enough steps on the Pokewalker, you can get a special Pikachu with the Surf or Fly abilities! ... You're already downloading this, aren't you? We could type anything here and you'd have no idea. Or we could even just leave in the middle of

Funnily enough, I'm playing Gold for the first time while contemplating buying Yellow. The old games are just rad but kind of hard to find, so I might just break down and grab a copy of HeartGold soon.

hehe I've been into Pokemon since the beginning, however I can relate to how you feel, as I have only just discovered Final Fantasy in the past month ^_^

Final Fantasy X is the best in my opinion. Followed very closely by FFVII

Well the DLC for Animal Crossing wasn't exactly a DLC, since most people think of downloading it manually for it to be a DLC - but they still called it a DLC (it downloads automatically, btw).

I've been waiting for this since before the game came out. Now I'm waiting for the next one. And the next one. And the next one...

I'm not sure that the Pokewalker courses are already on the cartridge. Well the Night Sky's Edge one was, but otherwise it isn't inconceivable that you are dling the actual course. Unlike the Rotom key and Darkrai pass and virtually every other "DLC" on Nintendo's Pokemon games.

This is why I quit Pokemon. Having unobtainable Pokemon sucked enough as it was, but now you have to buy the game within the first month to get everything? Screw that, SoulSilver is the last Pokemon game I'm buying.

Given that the route has been made available twice so far in Japan, it's likely that they'll give it a return run for international markets as well sometime later in the year.

So how do you know if you got the ones with Fly and Surf? Do you just have to catch every one of them and then transfer/check?

When using the Pokeradar, the Fly and Surf Pikachus are the rarest, so they will be the ones with 2 exclamation points appearing for a chance at one or one that knows Volt Tackle or Flail or 3 exclamation points for a guaranteed appearance of one that knows either Fly or Surf. You can only get one or the other per visit to that route, never both.

Finally got 2 Flying Pikachus yesterday!

I don't understand the point of Pikachu with fly or even volt tackle for that matter. Terrible physical attacker.

But its not like any sane person would try to use Pikachu or Raichu competitively anyway.

Good as a trading tool.

i cant wait for them to give out something better and useful like the item they gave on wifi for platinum. I'm still using that darkrai!!!
