No. The Conduit really was a bloody cesspool of unplayability because of all the hackers. If you were making a witty joke that April Fools meant the developer didn't really plan on fixing the issues then touche to you and egg on me.

Fraid so. I don't think they'll be able to do squat.

Okay, I have to ask. Do Tigre and Blight seriously expect us to believe that they not only played The Conduit but also spent quality time with the multiplayer? I call bullshit.

Does anyone really care what WRE says? No?

Moving on.

@WRE

Is there some way I can prove it to you? Let me know and I will because I have the game sitting at my house right now.

Tigre,
Post a pic with a sign that says, "I love WRE" and I'll believe you. For some reason I thought you didn't own a Wii. . .

One day if you illegally download the game before it's release. Maybe not even a whole day.
Yeah, hacking is that easy... Bastards.

High Voltage's David Pellas identified three aspects of the first game he didn't like: "Simple level design, online hackers and the cliffhanger ending" -- and then, when asked if The Conduit 2 would fix these issues, he said, "Yes, yes, and yes."

April Fools!

They're really going to embrace the hackers this time. If you can't beat them...

Okay, okay, of all things - why hack a Wii online FPS? It's not like people really play it for prestige. Just because you can?

(Not an anti-Wii comment, it just doesn't have a serious and developed online community that fosters people behaving like five year olds...I mean competitively, like the other two consoles do)

Why? Because it's too easy to do

What did these people hack? I've been told Conduit was great until the hackers figured stuff out. Going to just play the SP campaign some day. Still interested to hear how they ruined it.

Just general douchebaggery. You'd be enjoying an online match, and then all of a sudden some jackass comes flying through a wall, invulnerable, and kills you before flying through the wall again to kill someone else. I really only encountered it about every 2 or 3 games, but it was still annoying.

What he said. Infinite health, infinite ammo (though that wasn't so much of an issue), walk-through-walls, and some sort of teleportation ability.

I think that installing actual electrical conduit is more fun than buying and playing The Conduit.

Well of course it is. The actual act of purchasing a game is never fun because one half of the transaction involves you giving up hard-earned currency. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Halo 3 or Uncharted 2 were too fun to buy either. ;)

Look, I just speak from past experience of doing both.

@Manyquestions, its true sometimes but I remember having fun buying some games like Halo 2, Ocrina of Time, the actual Wii system all included day-one long line purchases with a party of individuals who were fun to look at.

It'll be hard to stop entirely, because even WFC bans can be surpassed through hacking and such, but it would be good if there were a "report user" function, so that the community could self-police, and even just a structural means for HVS to "see" the contents of matches and spot any egregious outliers

This is one of those situations (multiplayer exploits) that really would benefit from an online / system architecture that allowed for the game to be patched. This could have been easily fixed with a patch.

until you have better control picking game types, editing game rules (ie the stupid lockon) and better performance, this game will do just as bad as the first one.

Do yourselves a favor and rent it first like i did.

I love how some devs try to walk into a serious online game and think they already know how to do it. Then this happens.

Now, what's REALLY pathetic is when an experienced dev like IW misses the mark like they did...
