Isn't Lumines chunked up into a bunch of downloadable packages? That five dollars will only get you half of the game.

Lumines is just fine size wise without the packs. I play it regularly, and own none of the packs. It's great, without or without.

Crap. No Trials HD.

I would grab Defense Grid in a heartbeat if I didn't already have it. Played the demo, bought it immediately after, haven't looked back.

Might get South Park then (I played this demo and Defense Grid is definitely better). Or I might just wait for Geometry Wars 2 next week. Or both.

How does the XBLA version stack up to the PC version? I played the demo on PC and it's difficult for me to imagine it working well on a console...

Street fighter, nice. I'll pick that up.

Here's to hoping a day without a ton of April Fools joke posts. I expect to see some hefty ones.

Don't get SSFIITHD. I feeling bad just having it, it's of of the shittest looking games in hindsight. Be it in HD or not, and I got this as a gift from my sibling as a thanks, and yet I still feel bad that he paid for it.

It's dated terribly this game has. :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks SFIIHD looks awful. It's like Capcom giving a kick in the balls to 2D fans, having udon do a shitty traceover of SFII while they put their proper team on a 3D sequel.

Sorry, Spike, can't tell for sure, but last I played there was, granted that was a while ago though. Haven't touched it since. I'd much rather go and stir diarrhea with a stick than touch it. :(

@bm, Traced! That's exactly why it's shitty. The original sprites are outdated, and yet Udin went ahad to race over it. They should have redone it, a complete over haul... wait -- scrap that idea... Nevermind.

Now that I think about it, my son (4 yrs) might like the Wallace & Gromit game. He's just about worn out Splosion Man and Castle Crashers so he could use something new.

Raise him right. Get SSFII. I started playing SF when I was very young and it has been a life long love story. But 4 might be a bit young.

I played Defense Grid on 360 first and thought the controls were very good. Later on, I played it on the PC and thought it was actually worse than 360. I guess I was just used to it, but I don's think you'll have a problem. Great thing about the 360 version is it has more content than the PC version, including the Borderlands mission pack.

Inventory sale. Guys we gotta move out all these boxes full of intangible data to make room for new stock, everything must go and everyone is working triple shifts until we get it done.

It was my personal GOTY of 2009. It's especially fun when you play some of the levels backwards

You can buy stuff off XBL for the sale price now and download it any time; that's what I did when the 12 days of Christmas sale was on, due to being 100 miles away from my 360 at the time.

Well, having already experienced the love of SSFIITHDR and Lumines, I can attest that these are great sales...

... but the one that stands out to me is Wallace & Gromit. I always wanted to play that.

But James-Kond (above) is right. Geometry Wars at $5 next week is the REAL steal.

So, Microsoft takes a play out of Sony's book and offers a weeklong sale of it's online wares. Smart idea, no doubt. It's just odd that the last couple times Sony has done it, I've walked away happy with 3-4 titles at least. With Microsoft's sale, I see only one that I'm planning on purchasing, the South Park title.

At least in my opinion, these titles are less quality then those that Sony offers for it's sales, and maybe that has more to do with Sony playing catch-up for online sales. But paying $5 for Flower is a better deal then anything on this list from Microsoft.

I might have picked up Super Street Fighter had it dipped to the $5 mark as well, so that's a missed opportunity for MS as well. Regardless, my fingers are crossed that consumers find something here and take advantadge of this sale - that way MS will do this more often! In my opinion, MS's best week of deals was the Christmas break week, with a different title each day, that was smart.

MS has a sale on an XBLA game every week. They put sales on all the time. WTF does it have to do with Sony. I purchased PSN Everyday Shooter last week on sale, and I purchased XBLA Rocket Riot this week on sale. Next week MS has Geometry Wars 2 on sale for half off.

Wow, you're quite observant.

MS to my knowledge has never had a sale like this, with multiple titles at the same time, yet Sony has done it a couple times a year for the past couple years. Also, when Sony does it, it's better titles. That's not to say Microsoft never puts good titles on sale, because it does happen, and the best example was this past Christmas. To top it off, while MS has had at least one item for sale weekly, Sony has had near 10 every week for the last few months.

Sony's just offering more deals at the moment, and it's likely because it's playing catch up with MS. That's my only observation from someone who owns and purchases from both companies.
