You can't beat that price. No excuse to not play it with such a sale.

Actually you bring up a valid point. I have been addicted to BFBC2 since release.

As long as people aren't being lazy/slow or camping the UAV station things usually work out without team wide voice chat. A lot of time I am on private chat with my brother while playing. Doesn't take much to breach a building in rush with 2 people, assuming the rest of the team isn't sitting back at spawn.

Good deal, I'd love it if I had people to split a four pack with...get it even cheaper. Especially since I really can't afford it to begin with...but will likely get regardless.

Getting online with the originally release was broken, but a patch a few months ago fixed the issues. You no longer need to forward ports, and you can connect to the games roughly 95% of the time, if it doesn't work try connecting again and it should go through.

The only problem that I'm still experiencing is that I can see my friends online but it doesn't allow me to join their game from the friends list, the option is grayed out. However, if they send me an invite I can connect without any problems.

No matter how much they've "fixed" the online (PS - it's not), it's still an incredibly bad port. You can tell it was dumbed down for the console kiddies

How's the regular price for the Xbox version? Oh they finally dropped the price a bit...we're down to 50 now! I'll still wait a bit, tho. I still have to kill all sons-a-bitches.

not trolling, upset to pay money for something that was obviously not meant to be played on a computer. I stopped playing about a month after release. I have tried to find games (had to restart cause I reformatted) but could never, ever find a lvl 1-10 game.

If there was a patch to fix Multi (and the fact more new people should be playing with this sale) then I will give it another shot. There was some entertainment out of it. Just a poor port that should have had some extra work for the PC version.

He is not exaggerating. I went to read how the PC version turned out, and aside from some obvious limitations with the visuals, questionable keyboard controls it sounds a lot of fun. Until you try to play online.

This type of game is so good with other people but on the PC.. there isn't any. I don't forsee getting past single player so even at 25 dollars, i think I'm gonna hold off. Just seems like a gamble.

I purchased this game for my PS3 but the controls where craptacular so I trade it in. I was going to give it a chance on the PC since I am mostly a FPS PC player. (I can't play FPS on console games.)This maybe a dumb question but how are the controls on the PC? Are the PC co op players the same as the L4D1 players that shoot to kill you and spam how horrible you are?

I'm not a fan of RPG games, but I had no problems with the PC version. Yes the menus for the inventory system is crap, but the actual combat, moving around controls were pretty much FPS norm.

I've been holding off buying Borderlands because it's been labelled as one of 2009's biggest let-downs, eventhough I had been waiting for it impatiently... $25 might be the right price for an overhyped game though.

LOL... biggest let downs? If anything it was one of its best surprises. It's far from perfect, but I don't recall a huge amount of hype followed by waves of disappointment.

an amazing game, just got back into it actually because of the Secret Armory of General Knoxx dlc, which is fun as hell. hard, but fun.

Been back and forth on this game. I'm not a huge fan of co-op for various reasons. But Borderlands, the idea of a big FPS with millions of guns, sounds neat.

But tell me this: does the game still feel like you're relying on stats too much? Like, a FPS that relies on stats kind of takes the oomph away from the weapons, and the skill requirement away from the action. Whn it's like, "this boss is soo tough, I must not have a good enough weapon," instead of "this boss is tough, time to stop being a pssy and get its patterns down," I stop liking it. Demon's Souls is a great example of a game with a perfect balance of stats and skill.

I'd say Borderlands has a very good balance of skill vs. gear. It also really does have an element of strategy thats missing from most FPS games. Later in the game, you'll probably find yourself switching between all four of your equipped guns to tackle different enemies and situations. There's also the rather large skill tree to add another bit of strategy, and one of my favorite things about the game is that you can refund your skill points at any major save spot for an extremely paltry sum of money, and redistribute them as you please.

Buy it! That deal makes it under a dollar for every hour of gameplay. I'm generally more of an RPG player, and if I play a shooter I prefer it to be third person. This game kept me hooked with the constant drive for the perfect weapon. Well...that and killer midgets who scream gibberish at you.

If you buy this be advised: you have to tweak the INIs to make the game "playable". Console's FOV (90 - lmao), mouse smoothing, a complete f**** up control scheme, poor performance on ATI and the impossibility of knowing all of your weapons stats (you have to reduce the font to size 14 to be able to read all the lines - they never patched it) made me pretty pissed off, BUT its possible to fix all this with some tweaks.
Why the f*** wont they make a proper "customize" option in the game...

This is a link to the lazy devs forum, theres a very good topic with most of the tweaks

I already bought Torchlight for 5 bucks last week and still haven't finished it. Plus got a lot of unfinished games to play for like 3 months. Still I might try it someday just not this week.

I'd love to pay USD$25 for this game.

However, Valve's charging us aussies USD$40 for the game (Yes, it's normally USD$80 for us in AU). No... it's not an exchange rate issue, because we're charged in USD!!!!

I'm quite aware it's USD$50 if I had an american steam account.

FFS you can probably rip us off in the retail store over here, but don't be stupid to try it out on existing steam users.
