Is the game about flying an airplane as a dog not realistic enough for you?

@StutterWave : Well excuse me but if a monkey can drive a space shuttle, I think a dog can drive an airplane :)

I saw the title and at first I was thinking, "another crappy kids game" but, after looking at the screenshots and reading the preview I'm impressed...

"Charles Schulz might be spinning in his grave over this game..."

Highly doubtful. Charles Schulz never turned down any request to license his characters.

1] You're wrong.

2] Schulz would NEVER have permitted featuring the Peanuts gang in a game in which they shot at one another.

Which is a pity, because I would play a game in which the only object was to shoot Lucy Van Pelt over and over again. Preferably with a rocket launcher.

sounds like the successor of that "Snoopy vs The Red Baron" game that came out a few years back that received critical success

It is the sequal of that game, or the the least a spiritual sequal. But since both are made by the same developer, it doesn't matter.

I just wish they'll release this game on the PC as well, like they did the first one. I wouldn't even mind paying for all the DLC they'll release.

It was playable at PAX East, so I tried it and it was really fun. The demo was only 2 player splitscreen, but with some Xbox Live, it'll be even better. I've been craving a new game like Crimson Skies or Starfox, so this is right up my alley.

My understanding is that the player is given the dog house as a kill-streak bonus.

Never. The ever illusive (reclusive?, take your pick, I just prefer to think of him as just not enjoying the limelight, he still does great community work) Watterson will never license C&H. IIRC, he took a pretty negative stand on all of Garfield's merchandising and just doesn't want to tarnish the integrity of the strip. Can't blame him either, even though I'd still kill for a C&H animated series / short / film. Favourite strip ever . . . we named our cats Calvin & Hobbes even.

So is this coming out for PS3 sometime? Looks fun and I enjoyed the Snoopy v the Red Baron game a few years back which was surprisingly good as well.

Looks like Microsoft Game Studios is publishing, per the Xbox.com page and other sources. Usually if Microsoft only acts as publisher for XBLA distribution, it's listed as published by 'Microsoft' instead of 'Microsoft Game Studios' so I don't think it'll hit PS3 as they are providing actual publisher support/financing as well as distribution.

I can't believe how good this looks.

Also, was this the game where the original trailer had platforming sections where Snoopy would get out on a giant blimp and have to run around and sabotage it as well? Or am I thinking of something else?
