EA's lifted the velvet rope and now the whole of the unwashed masses enjoying Battlefield: Bad Company 2 can access the Squad Rush multiplayer mode. Previously only available to those who pre-ordered the game, this mode pits two squads (of four players) against each other as they fight over a single M-COM station. Once the attacking team has destroyed the M-COM station, it opens up the next section of the map -- it's a scaled-down version of the regular Rush multiplayer mode.
If you're looking for something in the way of moving pictures, head past the break for a trailer that EA was kind enough to send over.
So what the hell does Activision have to do to lose you that they haven't been doing already? You should let them no, as they're more than happy to oblige with any request that makes even their smallest customers the opposite of pleased or happy.
really? cause activision lost me after the 4th guitar hero, 5th call of duty, and 8th tony hawk.. the sad part is.. they're still developing more. so when will activision lose you? after the 17th guitar hero? 24th call of duty? 19th tony hawk?
BAHAHAHA....all those who told me I was an idiot for not pre-ordering from Gamestop instead of getting this game through Amazon and getting a free $20 gift card by doing so......EAT IT!
I've been enjoying this game since day one and haven't missed Squad Rush mode until now...because now I can play it. I can play it along side my free $20 Amazon gift card. KTHXBAI!
+1. Last night in the big rush game, I set off all but the last crate...because everyone was too busy sniping from the mountains half a map away. It's beyond frustrating.
I totally empathize with you, man. I mostly play either medic or engineer, but it's like everyone wants to play recon (without using the C4 or remote mines, mind you).
Hell, I still haven't played as Assault. I've spent most of my time as a medic, unlocking med kits and defib paddles. I wanted them early so I could switch when needed. Then I unlocked mortar on recon, and I'm going engineer next.
Dude, I know! I don't give a damn about sniping, but I almost wanna level mine up so my has one that does it the way it is intended, not sitting there in a god-awful spawn point for your squad. And then, of course, they get knifed by some random dude because they don't switch positions or take their eyeballs outta the scope.
Squad Rush is actually my favorite mode. My squad ran into a bunch of spawn campers and would kill us as soon as we spawned and then we somehow killed them and held them back enough to where they couldn't plant the bomb. They quit after losing the match.lol.
i was playing one game on friday on... islas inocentes? something like like. anyway, there were 7 people sitting on that ridge facing the island. less than half the team was actually attacking. i was so pissed.
I've started using Engineer + AT mines + Extra Explosives + Extra Explosive Damage.
Run up to the m-com, throw all 6 AT mines, arm, chuck a grenade, and run back. The resulting explosive knocks the m-com health in half meaning you'd only have to do that again to destroy it without charging it. Plus the AT mines stay even if you've died, so if there is any explosion around the m-com they'll go off.
Cheap? maybe, you still have to get to the mcom and toss them down. But definitely effective in certain situations.
Also the m-com A in isla inocentos in the 2nd set can be destroyed by knifing the tiny picket fence on the back of it. (it's the blue house). For some reason, the whole house will collapse if you destroy the tiny fence leaning on the back.
