Tony told us it would drop soon and lo and behold, you can now download Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 from the App Store. The iPhone game will set you back $9.99 and features 13 different environments and skaters, plus accelerometer-enhanced controls, if you don't mind looking like the weirdo shaking their iPhone on the train like it owes them money.

Ahhh the memories!! :D I'd love to see the N64 versions of the first 2 games on Virtual Console. I still maintain the best game in the series is Downhill Jam on the Wii. Has a steep learning curve with the controls, but once used to them, it's by far the most fun of the series.

I really did love this game, but I don't know if I could stand to control it with the iPhone. Still might buy it anyway...

You can't create characters or parks.

If only we could get these on PSN/XBLA...

THAT would make it worth the $10. Add in the ability to play with someone over Live, and it would be even more amazing.

$10 for thps2 hahaha wtf activision. the graphics arent even at the dreamcast versions level

And that's inexcusable. Especially since the iPhone USES a PowerVR GPU, and as was proved with Rayman 2, can run Dreamcast quality games.

I was about to say "Really? That old game? Why not make a new one?" until i remembered how much fun i had with that game. Good times.

Whats sad is that the 10-15 dollar range seems to be where every publisher is going to price their games. Whatever happened to digital distribution being cheaper, and costing less money for the consumer? Some games are deserving, but, even though I loved this game, this is not one of them.

If these graphics are representative of the future of handhelds, then i do not want. and i dont want my man thumbs obscuring the screen. There is a reason its called a SCREEN and not a DISPLAY BUTTON

LOL. Thats like downloading a NES game on the Virtual Console and saying. "If this is the future of Wii graphics, i'm trading it in". OMFG. /fail

I think he meant the virtual buttons taking up screen space, which to be honest is a real bunch of shit.

They'll sell lots of copies because they have a very important advantage over 99% of games in the app store- we've heard of it before. And that makes me sad.

Put it on Android and it's a day-one purchase for me.

If they're gonna port the PS1 version, I'd rather see it on PSN. At least then it can be played on 2 platforms and shared.

Everyone knows the ps1's controller was the best for the TH franchises; and although thps2 was an awesome game, I have to say THPS3 or 4 were the best with their online abilities; no one remembers t3o, t4o?

You say that because you havent played Downhill Jam on the Wii. I cant play older TH games anymore, its just not the same. I've finished almost every single TH game 100% and Downhill Jam on the Wii is easily the best.

It is pretty expensive... The weird thing is I got my copy of THPS2 for PC years ago for free with a box cereal! No joke! Now they're wanting us to pay $10? $5 or $6 maybe, $10 is a bit steep.

What a terrible idea. Does anyone else remember how hard it was to to grind an entire level (while kickflipping all the way to get major multipliers) or to pull of some of the harder aerial tricks? Well just imagine doing that without a tactile controller . . .

sorry guys... but activision screwed up the original soundtrack of this game.. Rest in Peace u_u THPS2 this game even porting it, will never be that good as the psx Original One
