Likely, yet its developed by Obsidian, so why would Bethesda be doing all this? Just promotion as publishers? Maybe its more info about that in-house shooter game Bethesda have been developing, or, dare I say, Fallout IV...

Keep in mind, Obsidian is developing Alpha Protocol as well...but Sega is publishing it, so I guess that point would be moot. I'm hoping for more Fallout related info anyway.

Thats the first thing that came to my mind. Brought a smile to my face.

I hope this has to do with Fallout: New Vegas because there is barely any info out there on that game.

The stamp is of richard wright, an author, who wrote the outsider, and a game of same name is being developed by Frontier Developments.

+1 for being knowledgeable.

Though it would be a completely different story if someone was developing a game called "Black Boy."

Actually, I wonder if the Richard Wright stamp is a clue. Picking a postage stamp representing a controversial author who wrote on race relations and promoted Communism could be a clue.

Or the people who mailed the package just needed $1.22 and that's all the Post Office had left.

It is a clue. Richard Wright is a character in the Fallout universe. He never appeared in any game as he was dead before the first game takes place.

Okay, on the envelope I can see "15" at the beginning of the address, and "125" at the end. If I keep finding clues, I should be able to track down Chris Grant... AKA the Papercraft Killer.

I'm on to you.

You know, that you mention it, those letters were typed with a typewriter.

I know a buddy named Manfred up in Maryland, perhaps he can help us find out what kind of typewriter was used and then all we'll need is he client list

ARG is Cesar code for IZO. When Google'd, IZO Games has an article about Metro 2033. It's a stretch, but maybe something cool will be there.

Or ARG could simply be the often used abbreviation to Alternate Reality Game...

Hmmm...

I must say, I'm impressed with Joystiq

IGN hasn't even noticed the C.I.P.H.E.R. part, or at least, they say they don't. Perhaps they already have it figured out and want to get their readers involved

Don't think so, really. For one, it's the other side of the US to the servers that hold the content we know are actually connected to this. Two, the domain name has been registered since 1999, last updated July 2009.

Most damning however is that it has a whole Wikipedia page about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_station

On the bright side, their IRC chat has probably never been livelier.

That's some nifty deciphering joystiq! My brain is caught up on "Don't believe everything you see". Isn't R.U.S.E. using that tagline? Then again, isn't everything about that game pretty much known at this point? (except for how to play the stinkin beta of course :))
