I remember the same style of depth enhancement from my gameboy in 1990 :o

Yeah, but the difference is that the one for the gameboy was a pimpin piece of hardware. Made the screen bigger, fold out speakers, and a light in case you wanted to play in the dark!

And yes... I own and love the one I have...

as well as the analog stick made for it...

That is as revolutionary as extracting vanillin (principal flavor and aroma compound in vanilla) from cow dung. And when I thought the world can't get more stupid, here it is. I'm always surprised with mankind's stupidity.
Haven't heard about it? Here's some more elaborate reading on that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanilin

why did you feel the need to post about a chemical that just about everyone who does chemistry would know about?

because, i for one don't care.

@Brian
1. I made the comparison in order to emphasize the stupidity of V-screen and similar gadgets.
2. It's always good to broaden your horizons and learn new things, even when they seem to be irrelevant or useless.
3. I'm Cammie Dunaway and do what I want.

PS. Don't you mind eating all sorts of cakes with 'cow-dung-extracted-vanillin'? If that's fine by you... then consider buying this 'sophisticated' V-screen device. Buying it makes as much sense.

PS.2 Believe me or not but not everyone knows much about vanillin. I reckon that less than third of students has ever learned about this compound.

How strange; I had a device just like this for the original Gameboy. Though that one had pretty awesome fold-out speakers to boot, and it just claimed to make the screen larger, not add depth. Then and now, it reminds me tremendously of the film Brazil.

ShadowflareXIII -- do you mind if I call you Shadowflare? Shadowflare, I'm sure we can all appreciate how nice a second analog stick would be for the PSP, but please. This isn't made by Sony, and you can't just tack a second analog stick on to games that aren't built to deal with it.

It's a $50 look-bigger that makes your PSP screen look bigger.

Looks like absolute crap & I wouldn't have bought it anyway; methinks a company was trying to cash in on the whole 3D thing.

Can I please have the USA GPS peripheral Sony? Pretty please?

Wow, that's the first 'product-review' video I've watched here on ol' Joystiq, and I gotta say, a little production value would go along way in future videos. That was hard to watch, and not just because of the crappy product.

I have a dell screen too!....ahem anyway, for 50 bucks? No way! I'll just hold it closer to my face hehe ...but seriously, I hope they improve this product by slimming it down a bit and or maybe add some small speakers to it so that the PSP could be louder, and perhaps worth the 50 dollar price tag after that.

I have a universal one of these. Got it for $10 at CVS, it attaches to my desk and even has a light.

They called it a "magnifying glass."

Dunno what that is exactly, probably a voodoo name for "Demonic Image Embiggening Magicks."

I'm not seeing much of a difference, except the obvious magnification. Some sort of modified fresnel lens? Either way, $50? Ridiculous.
