For another, it gives us the chance to finally write about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, just a couple of years after everybody else. ... So, umm, did you guys see that Dr. Horrible yet? Also, while we're at it, what's up with those Yatta guys?
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog recreated in 8-bit style

We couldn't be more excited about the 8-bit recreation of Joss Whedon's mini-masterpiece Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog by Doctor Octoroc (whom you may remember from his 8-Bit Jesus). For one, it's adorable, as you can see on his official site or in the video we've placed after the jump.

"Goggles guy"? Really? How are you on the internet frequently enough to get a first comment on a Joystiq post and somehow manage to know nothing about Neil Patrick Harris or Dr. Horrible?
Get thyself to a Google or a Wikipedia immediately, this simply will not do.

Wait, rewind, that still makes no sense. Dr. Horrible is nothing like Sam Fisher, he's just wearing a pair of lab goggles. Does that mean anyone wearing protective eyewear reminds you of a Third Echelon Splinter Cell?
Wow, 'Splosion Man must have been a very different game for you.

What a jerk you are. I was only commenting on the picture above didn't have time to watch the 8 minute video before i rushed out to work this morning.after watching the video Il hold my hands up and say ok no he doesnt look like sam fisher in the video, only in the picture above it. But you didnt have to be an acid-dick-face about it. I didnt recognise goggles guy by face alone as the guy from how i met your mother and the pic above didn't help me guess who he was. namely cos it looks nothing like him. Unless he is only distinguished by the outfit he was wearing in the famous only in America web series. Didnt know him by name. Im not American. And this is no worldwide phenomenon. I have no interest in American television or people who star in it. Im sure the people who corroborated with you and your comments might just enjoy a good troll. Hopped on the bandwagon cuz it seemed like you knew what you were talking about. A lot of American seem to think that the whole world has its eyes on America and American culture. I hope you feel proud of yourself for trolling for brownie points. (not anti american i just hate this guy)

Wait. You're all "the world is watching America and American culture" just because you got butthurt on the internets? Wow. You're pretty lame.
Additionally, Dr. Horrible was released on the internet, Nathan Fillion is Canadian, and Neil Patrick Harris does a lot of theatre work (including in Britain).

Saw NPH tweet about this last night and was greatly amused. It's the music that does it for me. Totally support this kind of creativity.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is on Netflix now.. and they put all 3 parts in one 42 minute movie. If you have netflix and have not seen it yet you must remove yourself from the world and watch it immediately. That is not an order, that is your life's quest.

Really cute and funny, though I don't know if it would be fun to play. You'd be tapping your feet the whole time though!

yeah, a sequel is long overdue. unfortunately I don't think we're gonna get one for a while. I think NPH and Whedon have stated it's gonna be a full length movie type deal, and it'll be out some time in 2011.

We do know that they've begun working on it. Some of the songs are supposedly finished.

Nooooow just spell MOTOR correctly, there's no "E" in it and I'll forgive the lack of apostrophes.
