I'd love to get into the Hasbro stuff but it's way too expensive.

You can buy the X360 version at retail for $40. I'm certain you can push the price lower if you have trade-ins or coupons.

Does it play just like the arcade download client? Or is it just a disc with the games? What about achievements compared to the downloaded ones?

I think the achievements are the same, and I think it's also just like the arcade download client, with all the sub-games unlocked.

Each sub-game has a separate achievement list, so it's pretty good for achievement whores.

You're welcome. Family Game Night is a fun time waster, especially with friends.

That's why I want it so bad. My fiance and I are big on board games and fun casual games. Would love something like this to play with her.

My wife and I just grabbed the disc too. It has a good variety of games - the ones that you could dl for more money. Seemed like a good tie waster and allows for some relaxing gameplay for couples.

My wife did not like videogames until Hasbro Family Game Night. Now she plays with me. She has even branched out into the world of Castle Crashers; all thanks to the gateway game that is Hasbro Family Game Night. Plus, who doesn't love yelling Yahtzee?!

Wouldn't be hard to select a block, choose the direction to move it out, and enable physics. The only difference between this and real jenga would be user error, such as knocking it over due to nervousness.

You just blame the computer when the tower falls?

That's the down side. There would have to be some factor in the game that could represent real life mistakes. I picture this just either being computer generated failure, or simply jenga that is played until there's not enough blocks to support the tower.

If it's the Wii, you put Boom Blox in. Great game.

With a controller? Dunno.

Well this is a perfect candidate for Microsoft's new NATAL controller. IF the exec have a clue (which 99% don't) they would release these as a natal compatible game.

I picked up all of the Family Night games when they were half off last summer. It's pretty fun, I wouldn't mind having some more games to play with in there.

Great, if they come out at 400 points like the Hasbro games should have done.

Now how about working out a deal for Scrabble to come out in other territories so I can actually "complete" the game instead of being stuck with 1200/1400? I've had a redeemable code thing floating around for frickin' ages which is utterly useless.

the xbox 360 version of scrabble is the worst release ever!

1) everyone drops during play, making it almost impossible to finish a game
2) no one plays any more since release, making even hard to start a game
3) (AND THE BIGGEST ISSUE) you can't even SEE the complete game board!!! The menu hides the bottom row of letters, so unless it is your turn, you can not even see what has been played.

the Hasbro Family Game Night software is a compete failure IMO.

they need some better developers.....

...unless you are playing it with people on the same console as opposed to online. It really isn't a complete failure.
