I'm impressed by the translations too

'Pocket full of celery' (that means money)

Er, thanks, I guess

Doesn't say what tartar sauce means though, I'm guessing its something to do with 'bling'

"Inside fish sticks, outside tartar sauce"

He's talking about the interior and exterior colors of his car.

In the context of the song it sounds way better than something like "inside tan, outside creamy off white"

._. No.

please, no. And I love hip-hop.
Just .... no.
tracklist has some classics though (which are always best performed by the original artists)

Its not like rockband, where some of the songs will actually sound GOOD when sung by the right amateur vocalists (either in ernest or in jest),.

OH! I thought it was called Rapstar and then I saw Kanye, Wayne, TI & Jeezy and realized I must have misread something.

I think you read correctly.. those are better much some of the prominent names in RAP atm.. now if it were Hip-hop star and it didn't have one track featuring Talib, Tribe, Pharcyde or Black Sheep then that's a different story -_-

tr1cky I dunno what you are talking about talentless. Kanye has made nothing but classics before he started on his emo shit. Sure he's an asshole but a damn good artist. Calm down son.

No. TI is not a good rapper. Nor is Kanye a good rapper (even if he's a good producer).

Good rappers? Talib, Mos Def, Chuck D, KRS1, Black Thought, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Jayz (older stuff), Eminem, and many more. But NOT TI. NOT lil Wayne. NOT Jeezy. NOT Kanye.

I bet you're the kinda guy that's angry because all of his old favorites are hasbeens now...the fact that you listed Chuck D and KRS-1 is testament to that (nursery school rhymes where SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 20 years ago)...Nas has been wack since forever, Jay-Z STILL IS dope, most of the other guys you listed barely even drop a verse anymore...

T.I. and Kanye are excellent rappers; Weezy and Jeezy are decent; however, all four of them are stars...that rap...

Hence the name *gasp* "RAPSTAR"...

It takes a lot less than the flawed logic of a nostalgic fanboy to realize that, so I don't see why you're having a problem...

with rapstar i figure that would be from Sony for a thing of it's own like Singstar but just Rap.

only song i actually care about that on the song list is

Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But a "G" Thang

i don't own singstar .. but i rather buy singstar then this game as singstar holds more variety.

Oh my! It's this generation's version of Git On Da Mic.

This couldn't be any more worse than Rock Revolution though, but yeah, I'll get this when it hits clearance too. Hopefully the engine is solid.

Def Jam does have one of the best rap catalogs to pick from song from at least... Beastie Boys, LL, Public Enemy etc.

Atleast they managed to throw a Tupac song in there. Too bad it's one of his pointless songs. Why couldn't they throw something with educational value to it like

Words of Wisdom
Violent
So Many Tears
Dear Mama
Until The End of Time

The rap industry is going to tank one of these days. I can already tell they are running out of stuff to rap about. Whereas, rock music..they talk about consciousness and stuff like that, but rap is all about worthless material posession.

What's going to happen to the rap industry when people become enlightened, and physical posessions dont matter anymore?

1. That's never going to happen, on the whole people will always prefer physical possessions to enlightenment

2. All the best hip hop has nothing to do with spouting brand names, its not all 50 Cent & Lil Wayne, you need some Jeru the Damaja

non-commercial Hip-hop just laughed at your thread.

But I see what you mean, except for the "rap will tank" part. It just evolves. Hence this wave of overtly commercialistic b.s. that plays on the airwaves
