Judging by his proximity to a girl gamer, I'd say the latter.

Lol, The Tester...

Anyways, not much for me this week. I may check out the Crime scene theme because the Heavy Rain themes are usually pretty good.

These movie companies should be giving their themes away not selling them. It'd be free marketing.

Another weak update.

I watched the season finale of The Tester live on PlayStation Home. If you enjoyed the show at all, you'll like the final challenge. It's quite intense. I hope it was successful for Sony so they can continue offering free exclusives. It was a good eight-week run...

I didn't watch it, but I'm with you in hoping it's successful. Original programming on PSN and XBL is a wonderful idea that just needs it's "killer app" so to speak.

My wife and I watched it as well and thought it was quite good actually. I like the challenges as they do test the people on certain skills quite well and to be honest, I never really liked all the gossiping on shows like Survivor.. I hear/see it all day long at the office, why would I want to watch it at home?

Hope Sony comes out with more of this stuff - well produced and it was great to see Jaffe show up in 2 of the episodes. I wouldn't be surprised if Nauseous had a temple of Jaffe setup at home so he can worship him.

I've been watching the Tester with my girlfriend and it's pretty decent. My only complaint is that it's WAY too short and would benefit from being an hour long or including at least two challenges per episode.

Besides that it's pretty enjoyable, really high quality, and pretty much like any other reality tv show, except I can relate a bit more since it's about games.

If you have the spare bandwidth and don't have any other tv series to watch, this is definitely worth watching. :)

Yeah, I agree that it needs to be an hour, but I think that'd be better spent showing what the people do during the time when they're not doing the challenges. The only people that really got any "star time" were the 4 or 5 that made their little alliance, we didn't really get to see much of the other people, aside from when they were doing the challenges and their thoughts before, during and after.

I just felt there really wasn't much time to get "invested" in the people doing the challenges. On others, (Hell's Kitchen is a favorite) it's fun to get invested and start picking out your favorites and going "Yeah, this is who I hope wins it." Usually within the first three episodes or so I have a favorite that I'm rooting for. And in two seasons that person was actually the winner, which made me feel like y'know... "Yeah, I helped pull for this person, they won, I'm very happy for them." Where as in The Tester, I'm still not really sure who I should root for, and we've only got the last episode to go.

Just my 2 cents, or 25, or 50, or a buck, however much this post is worth.

I seem to be the polar opposite of Fausk. I started watching with the fifth episode because the Pulse preview showed that it had a PlayStation trivia challenge, which piqued my curiosity. I then watched the remainder of the show, plus episode 4, because each of the recaps and next-episode previews showed interesting challenges again (LARPing, paintball, martial arts choreography, and what looked like a multi-discipline race). It wasn't the people which had my interest at all; not that I didn't like any of them, but I just didn't have any interest in their personal relationships and wished those portions of the episodes were dedicated instead to more extensive footage of the challenges.

If the show had been filmed to seem less like a reality TV show and more like a game show, I would have had more interest. Then again, I don't like reality TV in the first place.

XS Airboat Racing! YES!

Oddly, all the release dates say that the game came out for the original PlayStation in 2004...which would explain why no one ever reviewed it.

I've been watching it too. It's ok, some of it is just way to cheesy and the LARPing was way to nerdy, even for the contestants. The host is pretty good looking but they way she speaks some times is annoying. I've had celebrity crushes before but i think I might have a nerd crush for the last chick there.
