SingStar adding online battle mode this June

Sony and London Studios are still working on updating SingStar with new features. A free update coming this June will add online battles to the long-running karaoke franchise. With online battles, you'll be able to send invites to PSN friends and challenge them to songs both players own. With the PlayStation Eye, you'll even be able to broadcast a video stream of your performance to your opponent.

If you're interested in beta testing this new mode, then submit an application here. You must have a European PSN account to sign up.

I'm all over this AS SOON AS THEY RELEASE THE WIRELESS MICS IN THE F'ING U.S.A.! No, I'm not going to import. I'm just going to complain until they RELEASE THE WIRELESS MICS IN NORTH AMERICA.

Now only if the London Studios would, you know, would do more than give us SingStar updates.

Although it is very cool that they are still giving updates to their product and not charging for it.
