If your overactive imagination is already calling up fantasies of the next, next iteration of Street Fighter IV, you should reign that in right now. Producer Yoshinori Ono told Official Xbox Magazine (via CVG) he's "aware of the mistakes Capcom has made in the past" in relation to the numerous special editions past Street Fighter installments have received. He added, "Super Street Fighter IV should be the distinctive end" of the franchise's fourth chapter.
Capcom's not abandoning the title, though -- Ono said the company could ostensibly "upload a patch for Super Street Fighter IV 2011 edition that would have tuning and balancing." But as far as ever seeing Hyper Ultra Super Street Fighter 4: Turbo Tournament Edition EX: The New Challengers hit store shelves, Ono claims that "as a packaged product, I think this is the last."

I want to see this current graphics engine with the fighting engine from SFA3 Max(SFA4 maybe?). I'd throw money at Capcom for that!

"sfa3 had a terrible fighting engine..."
By "terrible" you mean "best".
As in "Zero 3, that is a terrible mamma jamma!"
Other than X-Rolento's jab having ridiculous air priority over practically everything including supers, Zero 3 had so little that was abusable. The high damage Custom Combos from Zero 2 do not carry over to V-Ism since the characters do not automatically move forward. (Although I still do enjoy 50% chip damaging people with V-Vega using his charge roll repeatedly)
Sorry - Zero 3 is arguably the best SF game IMHO. The cast alone puts it in contention; then you add in 3 play styles and it's the icing on the cake.

That still leaves SFII open for a re-re-re-release/sequel. Perhaps, SSFIITHDR3D?

That's what they said about Resident Evil 4 exclusivity...
What I want to know is, its the DLC for SF4 also be compatible with SSF4? Because if not, then I know about someone who might get screwed by this (and not as in "getting laid")

so does this mean they finally have patch capability built into their game this time? I'll buy the game most definitely once the first patch comes out lol, or hits bargain bin, which ever first.

"I think this is the last"? THINK? Yeah, those words can be completely trusted. Just goes to show that when they inevitably release another version, consumers can't be upset with Yoshinori Ono because he honestly "thought" this was the last version.

While I'm glad to hear this as I've thought that they are going to milk this cow like they did with SFII, I hope they realize they need to make a whole new fighting game that is innovative. A nice mix of realism and fantasy fighting with injuries and such for added strategy.

Well duh. They're just saying that SSF4 might be the last one to be packaged in a retail box. That doesn't mean they won't release Hyper Ultra Super Street Fighter 4: Turbo Tournament Edition EX: The New Challengers as a download only game. Words matter.

That's one creepy screenshot...
I've never seen a construction worker wearing a pink leopard-printed T and pink pink zebra pants!! Lol.
Also that helmet doesn't seem like it will protect him much in case of an accident since it's about 2 sizes below the guy's head.
And has the guy behind him got an eye-patch?
Only in Metro City, I guess...
