I don't think it was a bad comment. Looks a lot like Joker.

If the lines "What a horrible night to have a curse..." and "Die Monster! You Don't Belong In This World!" are in this game, Day 1 Purchase.

Aren't almost all of Castlevania games remakes? How many more remakes did we need?
It's good to see they're going on a different direction.
And I do hope there is a lot of Kojima in this game. Meaning, crazyness!! Yes, I want it!

Not really. Super Castlevania IV was a remake of the original game (storywise only though). And there's that remake of that Gameboy Castlevania on Wiiware. Can't think of any more right now although there might be some.
Gameplaywise though the series has constantly evolved. If you ever played the NES trilogy, you'll see that these games feel completely different than modern installments which play more like Metroid titles than the classic Castlevania games. Also there's the experimental second game that was a habit or something back then if one looks at games like Castlevania II, Zelda II or Mario Bros 2 (okay that last one is a different story).

Sounds like the better idea, though Lords of Shadow is turning out better than it originally appeared to be (though that's mostly because of the Jericho dev's track record)

You must also find and eat tasty meat that has been hidden in castle walls.

I would have loved this. Why do you taunt me major video game developers? Why.

Bonus points if the end credits refer to him as "Gabriel Belmondo"

"While the nostalgic NES gamer in us would probably have swooned over such a project..."

Really? That's a terrible idea. You want to remake the original Castlevania? I'm all for it, just keep it in 2D. Otherwise you're wasting everyone's time by making a terrible game.

I would rather have an extension of the DS games with sweet 3D rendered 2D platforming like Shadow Complex.

I liked collecting weapons and beating down things and really don't want another 3D platformer where you can fall off things and die and there are dumb jumping puzzles.
