It's not like the thing plays DVD's, so it's the only way to get real movies on the Wii.

The wii netflix interface is actually easier than the xbox360 one and I won't be missing HD.

I've been using the wii for netflix for the past week. Its really nice... And the disc stays in the drive since I don't play any wii games since I got my xbox so.. no change there.

well, if you care so much about High Definition why did you buy a Wii in the first place?

I perfer the 360 interface.

But the Wii works great for the shows my Kids watch, over and over again.

Netflix caused me to upgrade my internet service so I can manage multiple WatchNow streams at once. My ISP owes them a thank you.

plus they've added all seasons of firefly, weeds, 24, bones, rescue me, a ton of CSI, spartacus: blood and sand, prison break, and a few others. and this is just tv. anyone who says there's nothing on netflix instant is an idiot.

Me too, and it looked "fully functional" to me.

Why are all the blogs and news sites reporting this again? Is it really because Nintendo and Netflix issued a press release today? 'Cuz that would be kind of depressing.

I compared Netflix on the Wii with the Xbox360, and I actually like it on the Wii better. The interface is easier to navigate and is more intuitive with the Wiimote. The buffering time and quality is about the same as far as I can tell (as Wiizer said, SD steaming only anyways).

I recommend giving it a try. Finally my Wii is getting some "play time".

different strokes, i guess, but i'm more partial to the xbox 360 interface. there are some things to the wii version that are not intuitive at all (the drop down menu for different genres isn't all that evident, and it took me a few days to realize that i could access my "recently watched" list), though it is very handy to be able to scroll immediately to the very end of my queue.

though to be honest, it's a matter of fit. i now have netflix via the xbox in the living room on my HDTV, and netflix via the wii on a SDTV in my bedroom. it's perfect.

I've had my disc for a while, but i have yet to try it. I was wondering how they compare, but my 360 is on every day so its just easier to use that. Is it possible to stream to both devices at the same time from the same Netflix account?

I ran several 360 and Wii comparison, too, and though the quality was pretty much the same. I thought the load up and buffering was actually slightly faster on the Wii. But I definitely prefer the Wii interface.

My Xbox360 and Wii are hooked up to the same TV, so I don't know whether you can simultaneously stream from 2 devices. Does anyone know?

I have no problem though streaming from my Xbox and Wii using the same account.

I have to agree with richard thomas and MentalityOfA. I expected the quality of the Wii stream (see what I did there) to be total crap and the buffer times to be far worse than the Xbox (mainly because of the hardware specs), but they were not, so color me impressed.

There is a limit, but it's based on your membership, I believe. I have the one where I can only have one DVD out at a time, and when I tried to stream to more than two devices simultaneously, I got an error message stating something to the effect of due to my membership level I'm only able to stream to two devices at a time.

Had mine for a couple of weeks as well. Don't care for the menu setup on the wii. But it loads and runs better on the wii than it does on my PS3. As far as being non-HD. Don't really mind. The picture is actually pretty dang good on the 32inch HDTV its set up on. So no complaints really thus far.

I've had the disc since late March and it has served me well so far. I like the Wii interface/menus a bit better and have no complaints concerning the picture quality. It loads fast and gives me a reason to use my Wii.

I'm just about to start the 4th season of Prison Break, now that it's finally up for streaming.

If something is actually in HD, I'll be sure to use the XBOX, but the Wii works perfectly fine.

Plus I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3 lately (amazing how 'only an hour and a half' suddenly becomes four) and don't want to work the 360 to death (again) with Netflix all the time too.

Considering the fact that I stopped using XBL, and my wifi connection is horrible where my ps3 is, I can only really use the Wii for netflix. Luckily it's well implemented on the console.

I've noticed people saying that the Wii interface is easier to use than the 360's, but it seems pretty much identical to me in terms of usability. Either way, my Wii has gotten about 20x its normal use since I got that Netflix disc (tearing through the first seasons of Party Down and Leverage currently,) so it's a win as far as I'm concerned.

Incidentally, that Don Rickles doc is actually one of the next things I planned on watching on Netflix. STOP READING MY MIND JOYSTIQ!
