NintendoWare Weekly: Zaxxon, Military Madness

The original arcade version of Zaxxon is available on Virtual Console this week! Trust us: this is very exciting if you're old. However, as we like to do when this sort of thing pops up, we're offering this public service announcement: if you have either the PS2 Sega Genesis Collection disc or Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, you already have this game!

WiiWare

Military Madness: Nectaris (Hudson, 1-4 players, 1,000 Wii Points): Strategic hex-based battles for up to four, playable online.

Virtual Console

Zaxxon (Arcade, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): This shooter uses a really unusual isometric perspective, which gives it a distinctive look, and also ensures that you'll crash into stuff all the time.

DSiWare

Gangstar 2: Kings of L.A. (Gameloft, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Like Grand Theft Auto, but not enough to buy Grand Theft Auto? This is for you.
AlphaBounce (Mad Monkey Studios, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Somebody got the idea that Arkanoid needed more RPG-like depth, and as a result we have AlphaBounce, which features the ability to upgrade your ship with items collected in the game.
7 Card Games (cerasus.media, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hold'em, Blackjack, Freecell, Hearts, Klondike Deal 1 and Klondike Deal 3. Seven card games.
AiRace (QubicGames, 1-6 players, 800 DSi Points): Finally, an airplane racing game!
