Pay to play online
pay for overpriced peripherals that will only work on the 360
1990 disc tray
LOUD disc drive and fan
multi disc games
inferior 1st party games...graphics, size, scale, AI....you name it
the power brick
replace battery after battery

vs

FREE online
blu-ray player
ability to use almost anything that has a USB port
no power brick
slot loading drive
no battery replacements

Yep, The Japanese are just to biased and set in their ways/

After perusing this site for some time I have come to realize that wii60dsgamer is the biggest buffoon on Joystiq. He is either mentally challenged, very young or just plain ignorant... I am hoping for mentally challenged in which case I will forgive him for his comments.

This is because Dragon Quest is always published on the most popular system (in Japan) at the time. This is why Dragon Quest IX was on DS, as it far outnumbered every console. Dragon Quest X is headed to Wii.

I think PS3 and 360 are still too expensive for Japanese families (never mind that those systems hardly cater to family gaming, and the japanese family culture is far stronger than it is in the US. Meaning: the single, teenage, basement-playing stoner is non-existant in Japan).

It's much easier to be individual/isolated playing portable games in Japan; likely why the PSP is so much more popular in Japan compared to America.
