Just wait till the PC Version comes out, and the headline will be "SERVERS DOWN" and no one can play it, just like every other Ubisoft game these days. Thanks Online DRM.

Good thing I'm waiting till it hits the $20 price tag, maybe they'll have all the bugs out... guess, what, 4 years in development wasn't enough.

technically, both are acceptable pronunciations. cache is derived from the french word cachet, and has been anglicized (alternatively: english-ified) to remove the t but leave a long mark over the "e" as in caché, which would be pronounced as "cash-ay." it's been even further anglicized to remove the long mark, thus bringing about the pronunciation of "cash".

neither pronunciation is right or wrong. they're simply the product of a word in the process of jumping languages.

Folks on other sites are saying that you can also avoid the glitch by simply not downloading the prompted update when you insert the disk.

Final Fantasy XI players cannot clear the system cache because it gets rid of some playonline files needed to start the game. So FFXI players waiting for a fix still... All 5 of them.

When playing Splinter Cell Conviction on PC, ensure you are connected to the internet at all times.
When playing Splinter Cell Conviction on 360, ensure you are not connected to the internet at any time.

Makes sense... ;)

Not to defend Ubisoft here, because they've done some shit things over the last few months, but the phrase "stay classy" doesn't make sense in this case.

This wasn't something they put into the game just to show players who's boss. It was a bug that slipped through testing somehow. There's nothing classless about that.

Now if they had issued a statement saying that they knew the bug was there and they refuse to fix it, then that would make sense. Thankfully though, that is not what they've done.

Do they even test it beforehand? This is just embarrassing, and like the 3rd or 4th game in a row from Ubisoft that's been f**ked in one way or another.

no, they don't test them. they let them print, ship, and be bought not even knowing if the game is really complete.

Quality control has gone down the toilet since they have the mentality of just patching it up later through the internet, unlike before when games had to be physically recalled.

Sorry, this is off-topic, but im having problems getting my avatar to show up. It's a .bmp file 62x55 and 10,1 kB size. When I upload it, it says "Upload successful, but the avatar never shows up. Been trying over and over again lots of times, but never works.

Is my avatar in wrong format or something?

On the PC version of Ubisoftware if you disconnect from the DRM servers the game freezes,on the 360 if you stay on XBox Live the game freezes. What gives?

It's crazy. This generation, more so than others, seems to be plagued with game code freezes, and other game-killing issues. Why is it just now becoming so rampant? Is it because devs can just rely on the game update system to fix their mediocre testing? Whatever the reason, it's very, very lame.
