Same xD

But you never know, this could be crazy successful, so long as they include online battles and leaderboards. That and an 800 MS price tag might just tempt me to relight the old fire.

Perhaps, but it also looks like you'll be buying cards by the booster pack. Good luck with that.

@wing I think it's just additional booster packs they come out with in the future. No one would buy additional booster packs that already in the game.

Still wondering if this will come out for PS3. The system that this game uses is based on the PSP version. I only hope that the CPU can no longer use banned cards like it does on Tag Force 4. I also hope they fix the BGM for the deck edit mode. In tag force 4 it had a catchy song but then mysteriously changes to a horrible track.

I used to be into yugioh but the game is really unbalanced to the point where you can stack your deck with individually powerful cards. There were a lot of completely useless cards like monsters that had only 800 life or some shit like that. At least with Magic some of the seemingly useless cards can be combo'd with other card to make odd ball and situational useful combos.

yeah, back when i played magic i looked into yu-gi-oh just enough to know that magic was better (at least in my very strong opinion). i'm just hoping for a Magic game with more extensive deck-building. a way to import physical cards you own would be ideal (i still have my awesome elf deck), but that's not feasible.

Is anyone worried about the line that says they will SELL additional card packs online? Here's hoping that means there will be new pack series available for DLC and NOT you have to buy digital cards to expand your deck.

Do you have to purchase the booster packs with real money? That's kinda lame considering you could get cards for free (minus game cost) on the DS.

So will those that buy the DLC have the advantage over the ones who don't buy it? I mean, I know that DLC is meant to expand the game, but isn't that sort of unfair to those who don't purchase the DLC?

DLC for these games consists of giving you cards that are already in the game, but otherwise unobtainable, or very hard to obtain. Dark Strike Fighter is like... a super rare card that you can only get in one place, once a day, if you get it at all, but it was recently added in as DLC.

I emailed Konami about Yugioh making it to XBL or PSN less than a year ago and they told me there were no plans. I wonder what was it that made them finally make it a reality.

If I were Konami I would have been making this game as soon as Magic for XBLA was proven successful.

I'm not sure how I feel about the DLC packs though. It could give them an excuse to avoid making good cards unlockable within the game and just charge for them. The digital value of those cards is significantly less than the physical IMO.

Maybe your email kindled the fire in their hearts to bring more Yu-Gi-Oh! to the world, or they did it because they need money.

One or the other is my guess.

This will fail big time. I still play the Yugioh Tag Force games for PSP over Xlink Kai and this game seemed like a great idea until the line "the most robust card offering and the opportunity to purchase additional card packs through Xbox Live." came up. If you can't unlock a good chunk of cards with in game money, trading, or gaining packs in some other way not many will pay tons of cash for dlc packs.

I'll try this but any hand held Yugioh will most likely be far superior. Also there better be at least 4 player lobbies so we can watch.

Its been a good while since I played Yugioh. I may have to check this out. I just winder if they will keep the feature that lets you use the number off of real life cards to get cards in the game.

What they should do is let you pick from one of like 5 or so starting decks and battle with them at first. Then after that you earn in game points to open in game booster packs. That would be great.

Finally!

I've been buying every version of YuGiOh WCE since the launch of the Nintendo DS, and the game itself has become so complicated over the years that decent NPC AIs have started to bog the system down to the point that it takes forever to play a couple rounds.

I'm not big on the idea of having to actually "buy" additional cards in digital form just to expand my deck, especially when you could just earn them by beating a single player mode of the game.

What I'd really like to see is an iPhone version of the WCE series, though.

I still have my Yugioh cards, and I still buy the actual cards. (Gravekeeper's deck)

I don't want to buy virtual packs for virtual cards again!

If I do, I have to buy Pharaonic Guardian, Force of The Breaker, Labyrinth of Nightmare, and Absolute Powerforce packs on xbl just to recreate my deck in-game.

I'll definitely buy the game though.
