Rock Band Weekly: Coheed and Cambria, Siouxsie, Supergrass, Violent Femmes

Vocalists, get out your water bottles and start warming up now because a Coheed and Cambria track pack is the highlight of next week's Rock Band DLC. Also, for the first time, The Violent Femmes are available on Rock Band with "American Music."

Seriously. "American Music" is nowhere on the list of Femmes songs that I would want. Give me "Add It Up", "Kiss Off", "Blister in the Sun", even "Waiting for the Bus".

Am I the only one excited for more Siouxsie? :)

James, it's funny you mention that tune. I just popped in Burnout Paradise last night and that's one of the few songs I allow to be played on that game.

As a Coheed fan who hasn't listened to the new album yet, I really hope the new album is good so I can get these tracks. I'm a little disappointed there hasn't been more DLC of their older songs. "Ten Speed" would be awesome (yes I bought the damn cover version ugh).

More Violent Femmes can't hurt anyone either!

I'm a big Coheed fan and I have to say... not sold on the new album :(
Don't get me wrong, it's good technically but by Coheed's standards I don't think it matches up to the last two at all which is a bit disappointing.

But still, that's just my opinion. I'm sure some people will dig it as much as the others and if anyone reading this really liked it then awesome, glad you did. Though we can all agree more Coheed on Rock Band is fun... unless you don't like the band in general, in which case it's kinda of irrelevant then...

Also a fan. I recently saw them play last month. I like the new album, much better than the last one, which I didn't care for at all. In Keeping Secrets & IV are still my favorite albums however.

And supergrass have just split up. Which is sad news. Mostly for the U.K I guess (where they were very popular since 1995).

Me too! I love Supergrass. Count me in for a d/l of Sun Hits the Sky.

Most people here are just familiar with "Alright". They were a great band.

Great band and a good song that should be good on RB. Late in the Day would also be a decent track.

Very sad to see them go but will be there at the farewell gig at the Brixton Academy.

thats probably because its an on disk song in Rock Band 1.

Coheed and Cambria's new album is actually way better than I thought it would be. I can't wait to play Guns of Summer on the drums, thats should be insane.
