Yay! It's just like Fable II! People who did pay for the extras get screwed!

Quit bitching. They took $10 off and is doing more then any other company would do for the customers.

No, they're doing exactly what MS did in 2008 for Fable II LCE. Screwing over the CE buyers.

Red Octane personally replaced my guitar hero guitar despite being out of warranty, out of good faith. The guitar broke literally 2 days after the warranty ended. Now that's doing a lot for a customer.

Happened to me when I bought Fable II LCE. They went from premium packaging to cardboard sleeve. Then from extra goodies to 1 DLC card. Then the missing DLC card code became available to anybody who asked Microsoft for a free DLC code. That was the Epic fail of special edition.

It wasn't like the extra content on the USB drive was the only thing that set the collectors edition apart. Unlike Fable II where you got a DVD of crap you could find on the internet for free, a f**king movie about a collectors item you were supposed to get and box-art that was slightly different from the regular version.

I was one of the "duped" people that got the CE edition and no card in it, I still got my extra content, so what if someone else got it for free? It sucks, would've rather gotten my moneys worth, but it's not the end of the world.

Jesus f**king hell, are you on your period or something? You've been whining about this and that and such all week long!

I know exactly why the purchasers of Conviction feel like. I was TICKED when they messed up the codes for Fable 2 and my extra 10 bucks essentially went to waste, I did get the making of dvd which I do enjoy but it's not really a collectors thing if EVERYONE is able to get it.

I suppose it's more of a hobby collective than say collector's items like rare products. Still pretty lame I guess.

In the Ubisoft forums, an forum rep stated that the content was gonna be free anyways and for was for everybody to begin with. So i guess they were gonna release this content later on or this how defective USB thing was a set-up.

I got my LE w/ employee discount for $59 @ my job so I still think I got a pretty good deal. I'm still kinda bummed that I have a nonfunctional USB device but whatever.

Also, I read @ CAG that supposedly Splinter Cell Conviction is gonna be on "sale" @ Kmart for $40 so if you haven't picked it up yet, this a good deal. It's a great game.

Here's the link: http://blogs.mykmart.com/2010/04/video-game-capsule-review-splinter-cell-conviction-special-offer.html

Thanks. CAG is awesome. I'd pick it up for $40. Otherwise my money is saved for RDR.

Haha I'm glad I didn't buy the collector's edition. :)

Why? It's $10 cheaper, thus the USB drive/content is free. Also, gamestop.ca says both versions are 64.99, other places say the collectors is 79.99. Metal cases usually up prices $10 alone

Glad I didn't buy the CE. And I'm still on-the-fence as to whehter I'll be picking it up. I probably will, just because I love(d) the series.

I bought the CE from Best Buy for $59.99, took the 3 codes that were on the inside and sold them each for $20 on ebay. I cant believe the idiots that'll pay $20 for a in-game gun, guns that can be unlocked from playing through the game also....FOOLS I tell ya FOOLS!

This game is the sickest game I've played in a LONG time..

I wish I bought the limited... probably still will, regardless of the defective USB, the games a steal at $10 more than the regular edition.
