If you've been waiting for a marginal discount before bulk-buying the fake currency required to download content off your consoles' online marketplaces, Target's got you covered. Until this Saturday, you can stop by your local bullseye-branded retailer and grab a $20 Wii Point Card, Microsoft Point Card, or PlayStation Network card for just $17. Sure, it's not the biggest markdown in the history of shopping, but seeing as how we purchase online e-funds two to three times a day, even the smallest discounts are greatly appreciated.
[Thanks, Mike]

Yeah, the cards themselves don't have tax. But depending on where you live there is online taxes for your purchases.

If you live in Cali, there is almost assuredly a tax. I think the only think they don't tax here *yet* is breathing.

I live in cali also and my local Target doesn't tax. Gamestop used to tax until recently they stopped.
But for a extra $3 bucks I can be lazy and just one click instant buy points from amazon and have the code in seconds. Yeah I could use the XBL payment option but last time I did that they raped my debit card, suspended my account, and made me lose a month of Live off my subscription.

you can't get taxed on a currency exchange. even in california. if you get taxed for buying points, you're getting ripped off.

If there's one ting the internet stands for it's that you will be chastised if your opinion differs from the rest of us.
So, random internet dude says no to buying a map pack you'll probably enjoy.

Jesus Christ people... It's not that bad of a deal. No one complained about the variety map pack price for $10 and it came with less maps. So it's virtually the same amount of money per map.
I for one am buying it, it'll give me at least 100 hours of entertainment and I think that's a great deal for $15. At least it's not a $25 cosmetic horse.
Also, I see no one complaining about games like Pain, all the DLC in pain adds up to almost $80 and it's still significantly less content than a retail game. Hell, all the DLC in Pain is probably less content than the map pack seeing as most of them are character that do almost nothing different.

If the best thing about the "Stimulus" Package is Crash and Overgrow, I'm happy my 360 broke and it gave me an excuse to finish leveling up in Reflex.
(Note: I'm NOT happy my 360 broke!! I was just getting into BC2.)

"will he enjoy it in the amount of $15?"
Who knows and who cares? I missed the part where that $15 came out of your pocket, let him do what he wants with his money.

Back when the cards still came in the hard plastic and didn't have to be activated at the register, I bought a bunch at Target because they were on "clearance." - $10 each. Microcenter also had the same kind of cards on sale a while back for $13 when the bought up some closing Blockbuster stores stock.

2 years ago Wal*Mart had a bundle with a Classic Controller Glove that came with a 2000 point Wii card for 25 bucks. Needless to say they went on clearance. I snapped up a dozen or so of them for 10 bucks apiece.
This is a good deal too tho. They just about never go on sale.

You keep making references to fake currency, but PSN, thankfully, uses real currency.

It's kind of funny 'cause they are literally selling cash. Granted, cash that is tied down to a single place, but cash nonetheless.
