The upcoming "Trials of St. Lucia" expansion for Dante's Inferno will put you up against a force far more malevolent than Beelzebub himself: The inherently mean spirit of the online gamer. Dante will have to conquer challenges crafted by other players, which will most assuredly be more difficult than any brawl that came packaged in the game. Why, you might ask? Because everyone on the internet wants you to be miserable.
Don't give up hope! Greg Rizzer, the game's lead designer, created the video posted above, which is chock-full of helpful tips to keep you from succumbing to this deluge of pain. (Oh, and we were just kidding about the 'everyone wants you to be miserable' thing. We, for one, only want to bring you joy.)

I only tried the GoW PSP demo, which didn't sell it to me.. (loved GT/2 on PSone, but GT-PSP sucked).. I don't know about the console GoW's.. I enjoyed Dante's Inferno, maybe I prefer the setting, and he seems (to me) to have more purpose than Kratos. I haven't hated parent since I was a teenager, now I'm more interested in crumpet..

I'm going to agree with Mr ESC on this one...I liked going back through DI using my stats/relics and collecting trophies, but GoW3 tells me that now I've beaten their damned game I can't use the items without turning off trophies?! F that.

@ Mr. ESC:
why, because it has multi-player? with all due respect Dante's inferno is a good game but it flops when compared to GOW III
A hack-n-slash game is supposed to stand on its single player component not multi-player, all it looks like they did here is take the combat arena from GOW and gave players the ability to set restraints (kill only by tickling and so forth) and upload them...

I wonder how detailed this crafting will be. Does it only consist of choosing arena, type of enemy, how many waves and such? If so I think the challenges might become a bit dull quickly.

Even thought I thoroughly enjoyed GOW3 and it is the better more polished game, that still does not take away the enjoyment I had with Dante. Dante is a very good first effort by VG and I cannot wait to see what they do next. This DLC actually looks like a lot of fun and it coop where GOW3 is not.

Yes, it is gay that there are no Money Possums in the local vicinity.

I have played through all the God of War games, and after playing all of them, Dante's felt like a cheap reskin of the entire series. Button presses were the same, but graphics were worse and it just didn't do it for me. You shouldn't have to build up a 500 hit combo to kill the first wave of dudes in the beginning of the game.
It's sad, because this studio looks like it has talent, but they didn't get to use much of it on this. It kinda reminds me of the old European game companies that made perfect ripoffs like the Giana Sisters on the Commodore 64.

Not that I want to be Grammer Police, but this really bugs me.
Its the Trials of St Loo Shuh!!! not loo-ci-a (said just like the island)
St Lucia* loo-shuh

In fact, some people claim that this is an alternate name for St. Lucy- patron saint of the blind. Which in fact it might be, but only one wiki on St.Lucy said this.
In fact, if you search Catholic.org, there is not even a Saint called Lucia. And in their description of St. Lucy, nowhere does it say that Lucia is her alternate name.
