Also after the break are new trailers and screens for Ghost Trick on DS (now Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective) and Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes for Wii and PS3. Ghost Trick, an intriguing puzzle adventure about a dead man possessing the environment to solve his own murder and prevent others, has been given a winter 2010 date. Sengoku Basara, known in Japan as the latest game in the action series that spawned a popular anime and a Japanese history craze (and known in America, to a few people with good memories, as the latest sequel to Devil Kings) is currently classified as "TBD 2010."

Definitely getting Okamiden. Okami was one of the best games I have ever played, hopefully this one is similar in awesomeness.

No kidding. I would've rather had Ghost Trick and that other game that I'll probably not care anything for moved up to 2011 and Okamiden drop this year. It's going to suck having to wait for such a long time!

It's nice to know that there will still be quality games coming out for the DS come next year - assuming Okamiden is quality.
Though I'm still unsure whether I'll buy the game. There was a great spirit about Okami. You could tell that Clover put their entire heart and soul into the effort; even the odd stray flower seemed to be agonisingly placed. That's not something that can be easily replicated, let alone without some of the original creators.

easy doing 4 straight attack move doesn't register very well at all. usually one or 2 come out and it fails. slashes only splashing paint on the enemies. and trying to make a tree bloom causeing the sun to come out. but otherwise it is fun and the stylus should make drawing much better

I just found out that holding Z makes straight lines that might help you i never really had a problem with power slashes i found being quick was the key but it wouldve helped so much to know the Z trick when i was playing it. And the tree/sun issue yeah i had that a few times but it was more a camera issue for me then actual drawing.

No, 3DS is the real successor to the DS family.Think of it how PS1 games were still being made even after PS2 came out, or PS2 after PS3.

I'm skeptical of okamiden because it's not made by the guys at the now defunct clover studios.

Sengoku Basara actually looks interesting. Haven't played any of the "Devil Kings" games, but it looks like it might be fun. Pretty laughable dialogue in that trailer, though. Nice to see Johnny Yong Bosch got yet another role as well (I for one don't get annoyed by all of his roles, seeing as he is a great English voice actor).

I was totally expecting Okami (and/or Zak & Wiki) to be announced for PS3/Move today. WTF? Okami would be AMAZING in 1080p with decent shaders and hi-res bump maps to closely emulate the look of paper.
I am surprised there wasn't an iPhone/iPad release announced for Okamiden at the same time. Some timed exclusivity, maybe?

Unfortunately the first one didn't sell enough copies for that to happen.
It costs 3x-4x as much to make a PS3 game than it does to make a Wii game, and a Wii game is magnitudes more expensive to produce than a DS game, basically meaning if it sells 250k copies it will make a loss on the PS3, roughly break even on the Wii and make a big profit on the DS.
If Okamiden sells millions though, expect a sequel in HD. :D
Anyway, back to the topic:
Okamiden looks great! Apart from the textures it is near PSP quality for the graphics! And it's looking better than those last trailers too!
Ghost Trick looks awesome too. TBH i hadn't really heard much about it except one Tinycartridge post, but watching the trailer it seems to have a real TWEWY vibe to it, and TWEWY is literally the greatest game ever made.
And that Samurai one looks kinda cool, but TBH I'll probably just pick it up when it's inevitably £10-£15 on one of the UK import sites; it doesn't look that brilliant.

Isn't anyone worried since Clover isn't working on this?
