Airports are starting to open up again thanks to a shift in the wind direction so they probably would be able to make it now.

Nope, too late, the devs are probably already drunk and passed out on the floor, mimicing the sounds of a Great Jaggi while listening to Monster Hunter music remixed with Pink Floyd.

It's ok, they'll be happy either way.
